We didn’t camp here, we stayed at the Centenario site (which was really nice) but we ran over the bridge and noticed what looked like a great riverside camp option for free. The trail leads down just before the bridge (see pic) and it looks like you can head left or right at the bottom. The right hand turn looked most promising. We were here mid April and it was 40°C plus but same everywhere near here, so bear that in mind.
Cell: We had Telcel. Ok but not great.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Plenty of options to the north or south of the bridge. Most can be seen either from the bridge or from neighbouring houses.
I had a few local vehicles and pedestrians pass me - all were very friendly.
