simple but beautiful campground right on the river and the road... but further away from the road than some others in this stretch.

We are in the the second Hal Campground area. Tents and rigs under 22 feet. Right in Colorado river. Pit Toilets. 1 ATT bar but Starlink works great . Soft road noise but river sound is relaxing.
Picnic Tables and Fire rings. $10 with interagency pass.

rolled in around 10am on a friday morning and was able to snag the best site here (#4)! all the other campgrounds leading up to this one seemed too close to the road or sites seemed on top of each other. but this one was a bit further down from the road. picnic tables, fire pits, clean pit toilets and dumpsters. $10 with the Access Pass ($20 otherwise). well worth the price to camp along the Colorado River.

Nice shady spots, right on the road. The road quiets down at night for the most part. Pit toilets are decently clean. Tons of campgrounds along this road, I believe they’re all $20 a night and have a similar vibe. This one is more covered from the road w trees and brush the others so it’s nice for some more privacy.
