Follow indications of 24/10/23 to get there, Google is wrong. Very friendly staff and quiet place. I could put my tent away from the rain in the bar they do not use for the moment, just beside the camp site. Paid 700 for the night. Food more expensive than in town restaurants but raisonnable. 1000 for a very good vegetable curry with rice. Beer 300. Keep your food away from the friendly monkeys ! The only bad point is that you are 100 meters from the lake shore but you have to pay 25 $ to get there because it is a park. Saw zebra from the campsite during the night and pink flamencos are there, but from far because I did not want to pay.

Google doesn't bring you to the right place. Get off at Lake Oil Elementaita and follow the dirt road next to the main road. You'll find a small sign pointing to a road on the left. Follow all the way down to the lake and turn right.

When we arrived we were the only ones. It is very quiet and peaceful, close to the lake with pink flamingos. We camped at the garden. Clean toilet and shower as stated before. The staff (Enoch) is very friendly.

Highly recommended place.

the facilities and the whole camp is in very good and clean shape. the staff was extremely friendly. Intended to stay one night, but in the end stayed thee.
Unfortunately there is a fence now separating the lake with the Flamingos where you are forced to pay $25 pP for watching.

Really nice place. 300m away from shoreline. Very kind staff and good infrastructure.
A lot of flamingos and some zebras.
Like all other campsites at the lake, it is fenced. So if you want a walk at the shore, you need to buy a permit. It's something around 15-20 USD.
Camping with own car/tent is 500 ppn.
Big rigs can go there. Ours is 7m long.

Very beautiful place, you camp near the lake. Still 500 kes pppn and the food is good and not too expensive. But there is a fence you cant go around the lake unless if you pay 22$ .... crazy expensive

Great little campsite. Hot shower, 500pppn, really friendly staff, comfy couches + wifi, good food at restaurant, and all with a great view of the flamingoes and pelicans.

You read about places like this and wonder....This is everything and more..Spotless toilets, hot water, great staff, potable water!!!.I only camped but this place is built with style and class

To access the camp, exit the highway at and into the Lake Oil Gas Station and cross into the dirt road where you will find directions.

Beautiful place! Now it is not possible anymore to walk to the lake without paying an entrance fee. The goverment just now put a fence around the park. Good thing is the flamingos are now always around and not disturbed so much. And apparently they also plan to habituate more animals in the park. The view from the campsite is still amazing!

A really beautiful campsite with an incredible garden. You push a fence and are on the lake, walking with zebras and seeing a lot of flamingos.
The staff is very friendly. Thank you to Moses and Judith.

Great campsite. We were the only ones there. Moses was very welcoming and provided a big campfire (200KES). We filled up our water tank. Staff very friendly and helpful. Got up early in the morning for a hike along the lake. Amazing to see all the birds enjoying the morning sun. Be cautious when using the electric heated shower, we got a small shock.

From the Petrolstation you can enter the road/earthroad down to the lake..driving over the ridge you are welcomed by the lake..drive right down to the last end..the place is modt beautifull pleasant. We where very welcomed by the owner Judith with Tee and Coffee..had a walk with Moses to see the Flamingos 🦩, Fred the manager made food for us. Warm shower/internet all working..we had a long interesting talk with judith..she has been living for 14 years in south sudan..come here you will not regret

nice quiet place on the shores of saltwater lake elementaita. perfect for some relaxing days. toilets clean and hotwater shower available. friendly and helpful staff, bonfire available at 200 KES. freshwater for refilling also available. enjoy the birds, maybe storks and/or flamingos depending on season.

Very nice, clean and quiet campsite. Moses is very friendly and even makes a bonfire for you if you ask (200 KES for the wood). Road to the campsite is rough at the beginning but doable. Turn of the main road at the gas station. Camping is 500 pppn.

Best place at the lake! Very friendly staff and owner. There are 2 hot springs were you can walk. they make you also a nice bond fire. We stayed 3 nights here and paid 500,-pp.

Beautiful place on lake Elementaita shore with big camping space. A lot of trees to provide shade and clean toilets (real ones) with warm showers. Very friendly staff. We payed 500Kes pppn. A big crowd of pink flamingos live just in front as we walk out to the lake.
