Report Check-InBeautiful view, really quiet (on a Friday night). Got woken up and checked out by the police at 3am. No issues, they just wanted to check on our safety and left again after asking a few questions.
Report Check-InGreat spot to stay. I stayed two nights and had no issues. It was not too busy or crowded, but it was during the week. Apparently it gets busy during the weekends. It is a mostly level parking lot and it faces west so you get to see the sunset.
Report Check-InAs described, this was an excellent place to stay for a night. No issues parking overnight. Woke up to see a large cargo ship passing by.
Report Check-InSpent a few nights here on and off while visiting Charleston. It doesn’t get better than this. Amazing how close to the water you can park. The sunsets are gorgeous here and the area feels safe. Lots of locals come by but it was never crowded and no one seemed bothered.
Report Check-InAs others have said, a nice large, flat parking lot with a great view. Very quiet at night. Beautiful sunset that locals come to view then leave. There were 4 RVs that spent here last night.
Report Check-InI loved this spot. So spacious and beautiful and safe feeling. Lots of room. great view and sunsets. Fellow van dwellers. I'd suggest parking on the far end of the lot, there was a social aspect of the lot. a line up of cars all socializing one night and one car doing fast figure 8s the next. But it was not annoying or scary. left two picts. One of the freighter coming through and one of the cars and bridge lights. spent two nights and most of the days.
Report Check-InGreat paved parking lot at public boat ramp. Beautiful views at sunset. Thanks to Selena for recommendation!!! Grassy area adjoining to let your dogs out.
Report Check-InGreat park up for the night. Peaceful. Great views of the city and lovely by the water. People arriving early to go out on boats but didn’t bother us.
Report Check-InSpent 2 nights here, very quiet, people driving around during the day but no one cared about my van parked here 🌙
Report Check-InSuper large parking near the water, quiet and parce y for the night, lots of deer around here. They are cutes.
Report Check-InSpent the night here Sunday October 24 2021 a beautiful & quiet place to sleep by the water with the view on the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge.
Report Check-InVery Nice and shaded big parking lot. Only little incident is that someone called the police on me for being "suspicious". Police came and saw i was sleeping and very polite asked me if i was okay or needed anything. Then he left. After 20 min of that i was awaken by two dear eating very quietly right by my van. I would stay here again 100%
Report Check-InSpent the night here last night. Felt completely safe. No one bothered us. Lots of room to park. Boaters started coming about 5:30am to go out for the day.
Report Check-InFor the most part this place is quiet. This is close to the city but much more secluded. It is pretty incredible to be so close to the water and yet not have to fight for a spot or pay a lot of money. Close to good stores like, TJ’s, WF, Harris Teeter. There is also a good car mechanic shop nearby in case you have issues. Large field to run your dog. Couple of nice benches to sit down and watch the boats come and go. No trash cans or water hook ups.
Report Check-InLarge parking area beside the Cooper river, surrounded by primarily residential area. some activity until after 10 PM and occasionally during the night. I recommend parking in the grass area overflow parking at the end of the lot, to be more out of the way. Stayed one night in a Class B.. Noted another Class B camper here as well. Starbucks is 10 minutes away for Wifi.
Report Check-InWe stayed there two nights in our 30 foot travel trailer. We unhooked the travel trailer and went to downtown Charleston for a day. Would not advise doing that, this is just a place to sleep over. Beautiful views of the Bridge and the waterway with the huge ships go in the past.
Report Check-Inboat ramp with large parking. more spacious and off-the-beaten-track compared to Scott Street boat ramp nearby.
