South Tucson, intersection Hwy 86 and S Camino Verde. BLM open site. Sign says 14 day maximum stay. Open lot with brush. Several rigs of various types here. Close to busy Hwy 86 but a good staging location while awaiting opening at Gilbert Ray CG or for easy access to downtown. Good ATT cell signal. Good Tmobile signal. You can get a spot a bit quieter and further away from the main road by heading an extra 1/2 mile west to the other places listed(Snyder Hill)

Report Check-In

CLOSED. There are gates across the entrance points and a fence around the perimeter. I spoke with the BLM Ranger last year and this place was taken advantage of for quite some time by some wannabe full time residents. The poor Ranger has his hands full with ALL of southern Arizona as his jurisdiction. This was one of my go to spots every year when I come back to Tucson.

Report Check-In

Nice place, west side of the small mountain has bigger places and mostly on rocks, no mud.
You could find some trash but lot less than the other side of the road on the north side.
Lot of broken glass but small pieces nothing to cut yourself on specially if you have a dog. Nice sunset and a few Saguaro on the other side of the road. Propane and water (0.10$/gal) available at Old Town Horse and Pet, very close by.

Report Check-In

it's a busy BLM area, lots of people and vehicles but was able to find a spot with enough privacy/away from others. great place to stay for a while, didn't see much trash

Report Check-In

Big lot. Lots of rigs. Lots of road noise. Very good Tmobile signal. Great place overall.

Report Check-In

Rigs of all kinds dotted the area. Easy to find, felt safe. Stayed two nights in two different lots. Level ground, some street noise.

Report Check-In

Place is still going like gang busters. Lots of snowbirds vying for spots. Even have camping rules signs posted at the main entrances. The place is pretty clean considering how many people are camped there and the fact there weren’t any trash dumpsters in sight. There are a few long term campers around. Should remain ok as long they don’t take over. We were just passing through, and needed a place to crash for the night. Great alternative for the other high price RV parks in the area. It is noisy from the adjacent highway

Report Check-In

free BLM camping, big dirt lot with bushes. can stay for 14 days. LOTS of RVs here of all sizes. come in the daylight to find a spot that works for you. most entrances are VERY bumpy and difficult to get through with low clearance.

Report Check-In

Lots of rigs of various sizes parked here. Some road noise but not too bad. Low brush all through this area which provides a bit of privacy. Totally fine place to spend one night.
No facilities at all so please carry out what you bring in

Report Check-In

This place is ok. It’s a big gravel lot on the side of the highway. Looks like 2 permanent camps are here. I just parked away from them. Lots of road noice.

Report Check-In

Pretty level lot, not too many rigs for a Saturday night and looks like it is being cleaned up. A couple piles of trash, but otherwise clean.
