Lots of parking and big rig friendly. Trash bins, too.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Easy peasy. A few level spots on the right away from the big rigs. My hotspot has full signal even though my phone has none.
Report Check-InConsider the rest area overlooking the Pecos river bridge if you prefer a more scenic spot. Just under 5 miles SE from here
Report Check-InStayed one night. had a great sleep. I was the only one here and no one pulled in at any point. I think it’s rarely used because there is no restroom.
I arrived around 6pm, made dinner and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. It’s quite windy but I don’t mind that for sleeping.
It’s located at the top of a hill so you do hear some trucks using their engine breaks. I thought this might wake me up in the middle of the night but I found it subsided a bit. I slept right through.
I would stay here again.
Report Check-InGood morning, Road People! Shout out to Miss Kitty, staying behind us. Amazing spot with incredible views of Mexico desert and the Pecos river. Large gravel lot with a picnic canopies for shade. A historical marker tells the story of the Pecos River railroad bridge. What a great life on the road, seeing this amazing country!
Report Check-InDecent place to stay. Bit of highway noise until a bit after dark when traffic slowed down. Woke to constant wind.
