Latest Check-Ins

Closed. Patrol came around 9pm and told us to move to the turn out further down 101.

Report Check-In

Awesome spot! Slept tucked into some eucalyptus trees. Road noise with headlights flickering as they go by the guard rails, but if you black out windows it’s no problem. Great quiet spot, unbothered all night!

Report Check-In

Nice place, empty now. I stayed there two times but the last time, people were moving in and not moving on. Too bad, great place.

Report Check-In

Totally empty now. Stayed there twice and the last time a few months ago there were people moving in. Sad it was a great spot

Report Check-In

Park ranger came and told us that we are no longer allowed to stay there. Send us to the larg dirt pull off right next to this location

Report Check-In

This was recommended to me by a SB local. Stayed here one night earlier in the week, then tried to stay again on a Saturday night but a park ranger came up and said that it wasn’t safe (didn’t give any details…) to stay here and recommended the turnout up the road.

**don't abuse this spot**

pack it out, don't leave toilet paper, and don't stick around too long. picked up a full bag of trash in about ten minutes.

gorgeous and close to Santa Barbara and Refugio State Beach

Report Check-In

GORGEOUS but right by hwy & cops pull up occasionally so don’t overstay your welcome

Report Check-In

great place with a great view, while hearing the waves. other vans parked, very quiet (at night) and safe

Report Check-In

Good spot, fairly quiet, view of the ocean, little to no T-mobile service

Report Check-In

Very nice place and the best you will get in this area! Next to the Highway 101 but in the night quiet enough for good sleep. We didn’t hear the train in the night only the waves from the ocean. A lot of other vans, felt safe :)

Report Check-In

Stayed for the first time van camping here, under a tree with a view of the ocean. It’s so warm I haven’t need to turn on the heater. Loving Life👌🏽

Report Check-In

Beautiful ocean views & waves crashing thru the night. Ambient noise from hwy but great private spot with a must walk down to the beach.

Report Check-In

Very cool spot, we passed 2 nights here chilling before crossing the border to Mexico. Its easy to miss the turn so be careful. And dont get discouraged by the holes in the road just keep going until the end. Nobody bothered us here plus we were saluted by a huge family of dolphins in the morning. Good signal, quiet except for the trains of course, but they don't pass too often and they're kinda picturesque to watch.

Report Check-In

Good for a stop over, but state park staff made sure we werent comfortable to stay very long.
