Description

Spent a nice quiet night here and slept well. Called the Tupelo Parks & Rec dept yesterday (googled for phone number). Asked for permission to spend the night. Were told, "no one's ever asked that before, but I don't see why not. Stay In the parking lot by the Aquatic Center." We made sure we told the lady behind the counter inside Aqua Ctr that we were there and what we were doing. While center was open, we had access to toilets. Very nice stay!

I had the parking lot at the Tupelo Aquatic Center all to myself. An excellent place to spend a night boondocking.

Great stop. We arrived after dark. It is a well lit area with many different parking lots to choose from. We stayed by the picnic tables, a short walk to the stand-alone bathrooms next to the memorial itself. So quiet and felt safe. Definitely a good place for car/RV camping! I wouldn’t set up a tent here.

We arrived around 6 p.m. there were a few cars. we parked as far away from the memorial as possible. the night was calm. police cars passed by, stopped near us but didn't say anything to us.

Great place to either hang out or stay the night. I had no issue staying the night. Parked by the picnic tables in the back. There is a nice bathroom and a gazebo with electric. Safe and clean.

Pulled in at 8 p.m, a few cars and a handful of visitors. Google maps says, place closes at 6 pm, but there are no gates, no signs and no one seems to care. Clean, Bathrooms and water on site, even WiFi available. Spent a quiet night, no one bothered us, no traffic noise, only distant train horns.

Great stop, close to fire station but no fire calls so it stayed quiet !

Stayed 2 nights, I grew up here locally around he corner by Elvis Birthplace. it's an amazing park, beautiful features and a TDGA disc golf course. It has a veterans wall and a lake with a fountain, very relaxing to listen to. Recommend staying, definitely please clean up after yourself, locals already do a horrible job.

A short walk to the Elvis Presley Birthplace and the Music Bend Nature Trail. Very quiet at night and we were welcomed by park staff. A short bike ride will take you into downtown Tupelo. The Vietnam War Memorial is very well done and quite moving. The adjacent aquatic centre charges $5 and is a good place for a shower. We stayed two nights and could have easily stayed another. If you have been traveling hard this is a great place to relax and recharge.
