Something not right?

Description

Small park with established picnic areas, portapotties. Very clean, small lake. Nice stroll around the lake. Two bars of T-Mobile. No real signage allowing overnight camping, but a local suggested it to us as a good spot. It was great. Be sure to check out the Billy the Kid museum in town.

Good description and photos above. I just stopped to check it out. Nice place. I'll be back when the State Park is out of my price range.

Fabulous spot. Numerous area with picnic tables and BBQ at the far side of the lake. You'd be very unlucky not to get a spot here. Highly recommended.

A nice quiet place to spend a night or two. No services except modern vault toilets. A large wide open area with dispersed picnic shelters and level dirt roads. Would stay here again.

Free, first come first serve. There are several spots that have covered picnic tables. But no official spots. People kinda just drive and set up where ever. There is also a big open field that likely gets used too in busier seasons. There is a body of water where people were fishing lots. On one side there was a kids playground and some pit toilets. The other side seems to be were everyone was camping.

First night it was just us and two others (who looked like they had been there a while) the next night (Friday night) and handful more showed up and camped as well. We woke to our neighbours gutting a deer and breaking it down. Must be also near hunting areas as well.

Only rules we saw were : no fireworks, no swimming, no motorized boats.

We felt safe here and had no issues. It gave us a place to stay while we explored the history of Billy the Kid, and other local history.

A hidden gem. You can park by the pond, or a large dispersed camping grass field. Worth the visit.

As others have said this place is perfect. All I did was park for one night and not use any facilities so I cannot comment on that. But the one night I stayed in my van they were many many stars out, it was very quiet. Everyone was pretty spread out in RVs.

I definitely recommend going to this place in the daylight before attempting to navigate it at night pulling up in the darkness. It’s a little bit winding around an adorable lake with no kind of guard rails or anything so just be careful.

Good place. Quiet! In the night have to much mosquitoes 🫠 don’t have water.

Ótimo lugar , tranquilo. Só a noite que tem muito mosquitos. Leve repelentes. Não tem água. Parquinho legal pras crianças

You can park beside picnic table, pretty far from each other. Very quiet at night. You can hear birds and sometime cows. Pretty leveled. There was 2 other RVs yesterday night.

As stated, nice little park with lake and lots of birds. Many bird calls happening! Beautiful old trees. Great place for a night or two. Had a super windy day here tho. Billy thr Kid museum pretty cool.

nice city RV park, dispersed camping in an area with a disturbing and troubling history.

Report Check-In

Nice free city RV park. No hookups. on a small pond, site of the concentration camp run by the US Government at Bosque Rodondo. The memorial is worth a visit, although troubling that genocide committed by the US Army in the 1860's

Great free spot to spend a day or two. Easy walks for dogs down dirt roads at the back of the park. Good AT&T service. Access to pond and river, although muddy. There were a lot of flies around during our visit however. Stayed two nights, would stay again

Nice little park, as other reviewers have said. Quiet neighborhood feel, spots right on the pond. Big rig friendly, just watch for low hanging branches. Spots are level and have shade structures and BBQ’s.

Report Check-In

Quiet, peaceful wide open area. Large pond rather than a lake. We stayed Monday night and we’re the only ones there. Birds, crickets, and some dogs from the house about 100 yards away could be heard. Trashcans, covered picnic tables, and lots of dirt roads to walk. Roads were in excellent condition.

A ton of mosquitos. In a residential area so you get local traffic. Good place to stay for a night. The park had several visitors in the evening but everything was calm at night. Only one class A RV stayed the same night I did.
