Latest Check-Ins

As noted by others. No tents, must be self contained. Out by 9 AM but no one to check on our morning. All 3 spots full by 6PM. No one at kiosk and no indication of earliest ok arrival but wouldn’t try before 3. We got here shortly before 4 and rangers didn’t seem to care. Some trains and traffic noise but we slept well. Clean, safe; w water, trash, recycling and a portapotty $12 felt like a great deal. Good walks and short bike rides on gravel and pavement- we did a little over 7 miles before dinner.

Report Check-In

3 parking spaces to the right immediately after the kiosk. There's a locked gate blocking further road access after sunset. One water faucet for all three parking spaces, although there is a faucet in the field behind Site 3. Freeway noise isn't bad. In the morning, e.g. 6:30am, there will be dozens of walkers and runners who are generally respectfully quiet. I drive a van conversion without a self contained toilet. Rangers come at 7am to open the gate and didn't say anything to me about it.

Great park to stay the night! It’s the long Memorial Day weekend…and we couldn’t find a spot anywhere! Thank goodness for this site! ( we’ve been sleeping in parking lots the last 3 nights, so very grateful for the quiet and nature of this spot.)

Report Check-In

I pulled up to the gate at 5:15pm on a Friday. Only me and one other camper with an empty space between us. Good for passing through, can only stay one night and have to leave the site at 9am. You’re allowed to spend the day in the park. Good and CVS .4 miles away. Will come back. $12, no fires but you get a bbq grill.

Great spot just outside of the state park gate. We got there late around 7pm or so and there was no one else around. Paid $12 for the night via a drop box. Quiet night! Woke up to a decent amount of cars around us and people walking but not disruptive. Filled our water and used the clean porta potty nearby! Awesome spot for the night!

$12 gets you a quiet peaceful night at the entrance to the park. There are tables, garbage cans and a single chemical toilet. But there are only 3 sites and you can only occupy between 4pm and 9am. We came in early, booked our site and spent a few hours on the trails before camping. Four bars ATT.

Report Check-In

Checking in time is officially 4pm. Ranger stated that a few people had been incorrectly saying 3/330pm. One ranger was ok with us pulling it at 2pm, paying and then parking. But, another ranger came by around 5 or 6 and commented that we had “parked early”. Kind of odd, but overall no issue. Need to be out by 9am, but “our” can literally be parking 10 feet away. Overall, quiet and nice. Not busy at all for the Friday before Fourth of July.

Report Check-In

Stopped by around 3:15PM to en route camp in a sprinter. Plenty of spots open, but the ranger told us we could not camp overnight since we don’t have a bathroom on board FYI. There is a porta potty next to the admissions booth, but I’m assuming they lock it at night.

Great overnight stop for $12. We tow a 25' TT with an F-150 and were able to stay hooked up, and just fit into the space. We arrived around 3:30. The ranger said we need to be out of the space by 9:00 a.m. but are welcome to parallel park near the entrance and enjoy the park. We plan to walk one of the trails this evening. Verizon and T Mobile signal are excellent if you need it! Water spigot, picnic table, and grill at the site. There's traffic noise intermixed with the sounds of nature. It was previously marked big rig friendly, but I don't agree since we barely fit.

Very nice park. Senior (62yo or older) rate is $10 for overnight camping. Campsites are just past the gate on the right. Each campsite (2, grass) has a picnic table, BBQ grill, trash can, and fresh water garden hose faucet. No power hookups or dump station. Portable toilet on the other side of the road. Restrooms at the end of the road at the Dillion Point parking lot. RV self contained camping only. No smoking or campfires allowed.
