Description

Along the Big Quilcene River off FS2700-040. Coming from 101 on Penny creek road it’s on the left. Tucked away from the road down a rough entrance. 4x4 is needed. Beautiful place for absolute peace and to listen to the River. No service.

Latest Check-Ins

We went 1.3 miles past this spot and found a near perfect riverside spot. Fire ring and flat spot for our truck camper. Site is on the left down short spur. 4 wheel drive helpful to get in and out of spur. Good gravel road access.

Report Check-In

Lovely secluded spot with the river down below. There is a trail to the river, but the bank is pretty steep and there is a lot of overgrowth/fallen trees so proceed with caution. No fire pit. Enough space for our 25-26ft sprinter van, probably couldn’t fit anything longer though. The road was also not bad at all - we do have 4x4, but didn’t need it at all. It was a pretty smooth ride— I wouldn’t even say you’d need high clearance.

Report Check-In

Easy dirt/gravel road in. Left hand turn somewhat hidden, slight dip on left of the entryway, but possible in 2-wheel drive. No cell service.
