This area is just at the entrance to a ZEC.
Another alternative is to check in at the ZEC office at kilometer 27, and camp at one of the lakes that they manage.
We camped for 2 nights for $30 and were alone besides a beautiful lake (Lac Petit Malbaie) where we saw loons and blue herons.
