Something not right?

Description

Large pretty area, several sites in this location. Fire pit. Pine needle floor (nice for taking walks) with tall dispersed pines. Had acres to myself.
Drove a minivan in, be careful of a few pot holes, easy to get around them.

Latest Check-Ins

The road is opened to 4 dispersed camping areas. Gorgeous and quiet. As described in the original post.

Gates are open! PLEASE PICK UP AND LEAVE WITH ALL YOUR TRASH!!! This is one of the last places for dispersed camping please keep it nice!!

Report Check-In

Forest roads are closed in the area. The gate is closed and there is no access in.

Report Check-In

Tried to go there today but FR 237 was closed right at the entrance by Highway 89A. Talked to the snow sweeping crew and was told that pretty much all FR roads are closed at the moment

Report Check-In

Rocky road coming in but nothing too crazy, some potholes here and there. Lots of level spots. We passed two camping areas and kept going, decided to stop at the third and stayed there with one other RV and one other van. Not sure if there is more if we were to keep going. Pretty trees and level site with a fire ring. No amenities. 2 bars LTE Verizon.

Stayed in a Ram Promaster 3500.

These sites are on Forest Service Road 237. 5 dispersed camping areas with a total of 75 sites. First and last areas are flattest for large RV or campers. This area has a bit of ruts in the entry but fine even for small cars.

I really like this spot. Only 20 minutes from Flagstaff if you have to run into town for anything. Free camping but has a campground feel. Others are nearby but so far have kept to themselves and have been very quiet. Verizon service isn’t the best, 1-2 bars.

Report Check-In

Road was a bit rough getting in but nothing too crazy, shouldn’t need high clearance or anything. Popular site with tons of spots and a great site with trees all around. Awesome Verizon service too!

Report Check-In

Really nice area. Lots of sites dispersed among the trees. All free. Good Verizon service.

Report Check-In

Road was closed with a large gate and no way to access. Nearby roads had the same. The service roads north of town only had small signs saying they were closed. It was late so we drove past one of those, parked for one night near 2 RVs and 1 van. No knocks, luckily. Not sure why all the forest roads are closed right now. Weather was fine.

Report Check-In

Lots of designated campsites with fire pits. Tons of trees to keep it cool and shaded when it’s hot. However I was here Labor Day weekend and there were tons of huge obnoxious families and people just firing off guns in the distance. Other then that great place to stay hopefully it was just busy for this one weekend.
