300 mxn a night. I was solo so that might be per person. Grassy camping with shade and tables. Wifi, power for charging devices, hot showers and plenty of potable water. I didn’t go to the national park up the road due to bad weather but have been told it’s excellent. They offered me a meal because I was on a motorcycle but I didn’t take it. Not sure if there would’ve been a cost or not. I wouldn’t go here just to camp here but it was a good campsite in the right location for my route. I came from the northern, Mikes Ranch or hwy 3 side along the old Baja 1000 race track. Not suitable for 4 wheels, suitable but takes all day to get to here from the north on a motorcycle. Wouldn’t bother on an overloaded bmw etc. The southern access is sealed with 5 mile of gentle dirt
Report Check-InUPDATE. PRICES. I forgot to mention the fee is 250 pesos per person per night. We were quoted 240 but it went up after we had paid for two nights. Breakfast was a pleasant meal but to our surprise we were charged $30 (600 pesos) for two. Our advice: ask first. Our fault for not doing that.
Report Check-InAn oasis in the high Sierra desert with all facilities including WiFi that will reach across the field most of the time. No hook ups just park in a grassy field with some shade trees. Easy trails behind the ranch to enjoy sunset among the boulders.
The approach road is two wheel drive accessible but the entrance arch is narrow, be advised. We had inches to spare in our Promaster.
There is a restaurant on site offering meals with advance warning.
The peace and serenity of the place will likely be shattered on weekends. They have cabanas for rent and competing music will drown the birdsong we find.
The water here is potable out of the tap. And it’s delicious. We wish had arrived with empty tanks. The showers are hot and powerful, toilets are clean and well supplied and the pool is real with shaded lounging areas and briskly cold water of course at 3,000 feet altitude with cold desert nights.
Enjoy all this during the week for maximum enjoyment.
All good up at Rancho el Coyote. Camping is great. It’s quiet and peaceful. About an hour east off highway one. An easy drive in any vehicle. Worth the visit.
Report Check-InA bit expensive ($15 US p. Person) but nice warm showers and beautiful area to camp. There are a few dogs around which are friendly to people but very territorial.
Internet was slow!
just lovely, especially tent camping with grass and shade. here along at this time, clean, pool, wifi in camping area, v. quiet, real cowboys riding around, water available (use your filter), lovely area.
Theres a super cool US guy lives here hes a dirt bike rider and offers to take others (not your massive dualsport) on local (free) hour or so tour of his single track that he cut in himself.. This is proper enduro country around here.. enjoy.
wish I could stay longer but I cant pack enough food on my bike.
Maybe dont come from Mikes sky ranch (its hard enduro - part of the baja 1000)?
Super nice oasis after a long brutal drive from mikes sky rancho. clean hot showers. flush toilets. clean restrooms. we visited in winter so the cook was at their other location in town but I have been here before in May and they served a great lunch. Lots of room for dogs to run.
