As of June, 28 2022 all spots on this road are considered illegal campsites. Unfortunately some people used them as permanent residence and Rangers are intervening now. All spots had notices posted that camping is illegal from this day on and disregard will be fined. There are no permanent signs yet. Sadly another great iOverlander spot ruined.

We spend one night here. Other vans. Quiet place and nice view on the lake at morning ! No toilet, no shower, no signal

Beautiful view and sunrise!
Great location and view. Two vans and a truck camper joined me plus numerous people stopped to take in the view. After 9 pm things started to get quiet. Reasonably level as long as you were perpendicular to road.
Report Check-Inthis place is great, beautiful view and felt like a good safe spot to be. super close to rincon beach, too. it was relatively busy, 3 other cars were there camping and a couple people stopped before it was dark, so not super private.
Report Check-InGreat spot with plenty of room right off the road. Beautiful view of the lake & gorgeous sunset. 2-4 bars Verizon & 3 bars T-Mobile. Quiet enough to work, but only camped here one night since it is right next to a two lane road. Definitely recommend for a night.
Report Check-InLarge pull off with good view of the lake off paved road. There are 3 of us here and still room for more. Somewhat level. Good cell reception (Verizon) loads movies and Spotify. Traffic is somewhat busy all night it seemed. Lots of people stopped to drink and talk but it was never too loud. Lots of trash, picked up what I could.
Report Check-InLike the reviews say, beautiful overlook of the lake, so worth the drive through the mountains. if high schoolers come here to get drunk and hang out, you know it’s gonna be a cool spot to be at. Highly recommend for campers. no one bothered us!
Report Check-Innice large pull out, with a good view of the lake. arrived about 8:30, two other campers here. about 10:30, two carloads of drunk teenagers arrived. fairly loud and obnoxious
Report Check-InGreat pullout, as far as pullouts go! Lots of room, nice view. Cars stopped and parked for a while pretty frequently, but nobody bothered me. (Nobody, that is, except for a pair of Hooded Orioles that woke me up at 6am by pecking incessantly at the roof of my car haha).
Report Check-Ingreat little spot for the night! gorgeous views of the lake and no one bothered us aside from a few teens drinking and some people who came to see the sunset.
Report Check-Instayed here for one night, it was a nice large pull off spot with great views. ran into one other camper overnight and there were a couple of other cars with kids smoking, but they left by sunset. the road isn’t too busy. good solid place for a night!

Report Check-InLarge parking overlook above lake. Spent night here on 12/13/20. A few cars stopped early on, but quiet after. Not a ton of traffic. 2-4 bars Verizon, so no cell issues. Beautiful sunrise over lake.
