I really liked the feel of this spot. It's close enough to the highway for easy access but not too close to hear traffic other than the trucks that go to the ranch (during the day) at the end of this road. But not busy. This spot could fit two to three small trailers or vans. Other pullouts back along either side of the road. The view is pretty and there's several hikes and Tonto National Monument (cliff dwellings) to discover in the area. Nearby campgrounds/park provide water.

A beautiful site close to the road (1.5 mi) but also far enough away. The views into the wash below were incredible as well as of the mountains. The road wasn't bad at all.
Report Check-InGreat place. a bit protected from the wind. Very quiet, I saw only one other RV a bit further away.
Report Check-InGreat quiet place for off-road, hiking, dispursed camping. You'll see sign for road & "Trail 449 National Forest" Cross Cattle grate, staging area just inside on left. Multiple pullouts, large areas off both sides of road. Several large areas for big rigs, and multiple camping sites with fire rings (very clean). Follow road back to two trails, road splits (private ranch/residence to the left). Very quiet, beautiful views all around. Cell signal was sketchy.
Report Check-InSecond night here...one Large RV half way down the road...we parked back farther, on the left... careful not to get close to the edge (we sat up above a small open valley)...very level spot, fire rings, and more quiet, besides the helicopter flying over before dark. Trailhead is back a little farther, large space to stage/unload/park.
Report Check-InThis road has gorgeous mountain views in all directions from all campsites! The site I chose was 1 mile back the dirt road. There was one RV parked at the first area, but no other campers spotted the 3 nights I was here. Most sites are big and can accommodate multiple vehicles. Every day there were a handful of trucks driving the dirt road, but no one bothered me. A great place to go for solitude.
4 bars of service with T-Mobile.
Was a convenient place near the main road. Had 1 bar of Verizon service and could make a phone call. I first traveled over a mile down the road and the reception did not improve so I returned to this spot.
Report Check-Innice spot, the road is a little washboarded but that's all, quiet and good views
