You need a tent or a self-contained actual RV to camp here. The caretaker will come by if you only have a vehicle/campervan to let you know that you need to set up a tent. You cannot run electric cords into a vehicle that isn’t an RV. Other than that the non-electric spots are free and the electric spots are $15. There is a bath house with a shower in it. Free firewood, playground, trails. The caretaker has two ofd-leash dogs that wander around but are friendly.

Excellent spot. Beautiful lake and surprisingly few bugs. Loved it here. Only problem if you need solar is that it's very shady, so not much feed to the panels.

As described, and still free (without water/electric) as of today, according to the caretaker. I grabbed a prime spot at the top of the hill and had the lake view pretty much to myself. Women’s bathroom is clean, and I saw the shower, though have not tried it out yet. The weather is beautiful, so I plan to stay 2-3 days before moving on.

An amazing free campground! Sounds too good to be true but it’s not! Basketball court, bathroom with running water and a shower! About 5 RV sites (I heard you have to call the courthouse to reserve an rv site if you want the electric and water turned on (but there is a water spigot next to the bathrooms if you need to refill water bottles) dog friendly if on leash, tons is scattered tent sites you kind of just pick a spot. They have covered picnic tables at the camp sites, fire rings, free fire wood by the play ground and pavilions, a dock for fishing, hiking trails, a camp host who we never got to meet because we got in late and he was out doing chores when we left the next afternoon, just beware of gators and snakes, we ended up seeing an otter too. This is such a perfect spot tucked away. There is cell crevice and LTE. I didn’t see a donation box but this park is well maintained so I don’t know if it’s tax or volunteered base. Make sure you leave the spot better than you found it and pack it in pack it out. Be respectful of other campers but this is such an amazing get away close enough to the sulphur river and nature. Also there was no sulphur smell to me. Another note is it is near a gun range but all morning we only heard a few shots around noon so it’s not super active or noisy. Tons of wildlife. Definitely a must stop if you are passing by. ITS FREE!

In total agreement that this place is a hidden gem. Free camping with running water, bathroom, and showers. Free firewood and a playground. It was quiet and peaceful. One caveat, there is a gun range that is close by so you may faintly (sometimes loudly) hear gunshots between 8 am-5 pm but it really wasn’t disruptive at all (in my opinion).

As described above, truly a hidden gem. We spoke with someone who helps support the space. You do need to pay $15 if you want electricity (it’s locked otherwise). They have pit toilets available, but also a really nice updated bathroom facility with one shower in each gendered bathroom.
They also have hiking trails, playgrounds, and free firewood. We are one of very few people here (mostly hunters). Absolutely worth the stop if you’re in the area.

This place is amazing. And it’s free! Next to a lake, near a gun range, free fire wood, hot showers, water 30/50 amp. Fire pits.. 5 sites with full hook ups. One can tent camp or dry camp.

However starting last week the man running this place name
Is Joe super friendly says will have to go to the local court house 🤦‍♂️to get a spot here… I’m guessing to help fun and maintain this place.

What a great find for an overnight. camping is free and there are at least 20 sites. There is a new bath house with flush toilets and a shower, also a hydrant for water. We enjoyed our stay in our Sprinter Van
