Nice place. But our night was terrible! The wind starts at 2am!!!!!!!!!

Just amazing. It is best if you are self-contained to keep this place clean and open for everyone. Absolutely no facilities.

Quiet at night, first vehicles arrived after 9 AM.

I'm traveling by motorcycle and camping at night. I stopped here, but it's not a great place for a tent. Ok if you're parking, but not for camping.

Amazing place to sleep. The waterfall is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen and seeing the sunset and sunrise in this place is very beautiful. There are no toilets, water or power. In the morning it starts to fill with tourists and gets full all day.

One of the most incredible places we've ever done wild camping. There is no structure, take food, water and everything you will need. Don't leave any kind of residue, we spoke to some police officers who were there to confirm if we could sleep, they confirmed that we could as long as we took our trash away and didn't start a fire. The night lit only by the moon and stars is fantastic.

This is a great place to spend the night if you are in a camper or RV vehicle.
Firstly because when the sun sets, many people leave and a few vehicles stay to spend the night and there is plenty of room. Secondly because it gives you the opportunity to have the waterfall just for yourself the first hours in the morning which is the most beautiful part of the day to see them and no turist are there.
And lastly but more importantly, because staying in caviahue it is kind of difficult since they don't have an Established camping and the wild options are limited (many of them were prohibited).
No one will bother you here! just respect the place. No bonfires, no trashing. Be a good visitor!

We arrive almost at sunset, there was two cars and a van. one car left the rest stayed. No problem at all if you overnight in your vehicle. watch the fall I. the morning is the best time of the day to do it.
The next day between 9:30 and 12 a lot of cars and tourist vans came by. you cannot miss this place and staying here is a great choice!

Amazing place to stay for a night. very special, highly recommend it for anyone passing this region, you will not regret it. one other car there overnight, no one else. the waterfall at dusk and overnight is magical. Sunrise isn't bad either.

We were there in low season, there was nobody else other then our two vans.

Don’t miss this place. It’s the most beautiful camp on our entire north and south american journey.

The very last section can be tricky with a low ground clearance vehicle but it can be down with 2 wheel drive. I’m guessing it’s easy during the summer.

Nice place to sleep. Amazing sky and very quiet. No one came until we left around 9:30.
When wet the path to the parking lot can be tricky

Very popular during the day, but we were the only ones here at night. It’s very quiet at night and the stars were pretty impressive here. The last visitors left just before sunset. First visitors didn’t show up until just after 9am so we had the whole place to ourselves for the night and sunrise - the best time for photography here. Unfortunately, there’s quite a bit of toilet paper left around. If you do stay here please take your trash with you.

We were going south on Ruta Nacional 40 and took right in direction to El Huecú to find out we needed to do 115km of 'rípio' (gravel road) in order to reach the Salto Del Agrio waterfall. Luckily the road is mainly good and we could keep over 60km/h almost all the time. If you come from the south, there's way less 'rípio' to cover by going to Caviahue. We spent one night at the waterfall and the place is just amazing! Crystal-clear and really cold water. There are tracks to reach to bottom of the waterfall too. When we arrived (Sunday), there were dozens of cars and even busses. On Monday, same thing. During the night, almost nobody stays there. Very quiet and incredible skies.

Se puede dormir, lugar agreste. A la tarde noche no queda nadie

Incredible place! We slept here for one night, but could easily stayed for more other ones.
Really peaceful, and nobody around during the night. The Police came by at the end of the evening, but didn’t say anything.
