Small parking lot for a bike trail along the Hudson, next to Lock 7. Lock is signed for no entry (which was maybe due to construction), but parking lot doesn't have any signs about overnight parking.

Quiet night, just a couple cars for folks using the trail when I arrived at dusk, which quickly headed off. Couple trucks (looked like workers) headed down to the lock in the morning, but no issues overnight.

Good verizon 4G service.

We were parked by the river at the end completely of the road. We arrived at night, we were alone there. It was a very quiet et intimate place at this time of the year.
BUT, an officer came to see us at 3h in the morning to warn us that we cannot sleep here. He let us stayed the rest of the night with a promise to go on the morning. He was sweet, I believe some will say to find somewhere else to go. Its worth a try tho!!

Report Check-In

Came here around 8pm and a cop can't at 12:30am to let us know we are not allowed to camp here, asked us to move.

Small parking lot adjacent to a walking path/bike trail. Pulled in around 10pm and it was really dark and quiet, I was the only one there with my dog. Folks started arriving at the lot by 7am to use the path. We ended up walking a good 3 miles up the path it was a great morning walk! There are also little trails throughout the woods leading to the water.

Good spot for one night!

Got here at 3:30 on a rainy afternoon, no other cars or people. It’s super quiet and a very idyllic setting. No complaints so far!

pretty peaceful place to overnight for 1 night on paved parking lot. Nice walking trail for the morning. easy in and out. I only had 2-3 bar of t-mobile inside my RV but once out on the trail full bars. I stay here in a 26ft Purple RV. popular biking spot during the day but it nice was here with one other van.

We arrived at 7:30pm to an almost full parking lot and didn't want to look like we were staying for the next get so continued to the Lock 7 "park" (which closes at 11pm) and made dinner and enjoyed the views of the Lock. When we returned at around 9pm the parking area was empty. We heard a few vehicles go by in the night got but weren't bothered. When we left in the morning the lot was still empty but a few cyclists were on the nearby cycleway. There is a port-o potty at the nearby Lock 7 park, which opens at 7am and closes at 11pm. We were in a non-self contained minivan camper.

My husband, little dog, and I stayed here last night in our Promaster. It’s a great spot. Pretty trail, great wildlife (we saw a fox, a pilliated woodpecker, and what I think was a maroon-tailed hawk). There are 10-15 spots. We got there at around 7:30 and there were four cars that belonged to walkers/bikers, but they all left by dark. The lot is basically a bay connected to a back road, so be careful if you have a dog. If you go about .25 miles up the trail on the left side of the road, you’ll come to a lake/dam that has port-a-potty’s if needed. The lot filled up a little around 7:30am. No one bothered us the whole time; very quiet and nice spot.

Report Check-In

No signs that prohibit parking overnight, but did end up getting some sirens followed by the dreaded knock at 2am. Cop ended up letting me stay, but apparently it’s somewhat regularly patrolled

Great spot. Quiet. Stayed one night with no issues. Close to biking trails and several hiking trails. short walk to the river. no signs prohibiting overnight parking. plenty of room for our 22 ft RV. Great Verizon signal.

No one bothered us and we were the only ones here all night! A few construction trucks and bikers launching first thing in the morning. 4 or 3 bars of service at all times. (Verizon, and AT&T)
