Access road to pipeline; big open area down a grassy road. Close enough to English River (3 min walk), you can see it from the best spot to park. There's a little fire pit, shade and a few trails nearby. Big rig friendly if you don't mind a few pinstripes on the way in. Full reception.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We weren’t sure if we would find it off the highway, but the previous pin really helps! Also worth noting that there is a wooden post near the road - looks like it might have been used to hang a sign. I’ll put a picture below. When you pull in, there is a large clearing that is suitable for any large rig. We have a truck and 18 ft camper, so we left them there and explored the road that goes straight back. That’s the one that leads to a nicer spot back far off the highway. You don’t need a 4wd to get in as long as there hasn’t been heavy rain. In that case, it might be slick in one spot. You can still hear the traffic, but very faintly. There’s a nice firepit and the view is beautiful at sunset. My cell service has three strong bars. Internet is hit and miss. Obviously no garbage or services - it’s just a nice clearing in the trees. Let’s keep it clean so it doesn’t get blocked off - we noticed several little access roads had been blocked with piles of gravel and it would be a shame to lose this one.
Report Check-InNice quiet spot right off the highway. Noise is alright. Good for one night.
Report Check-InGreat for the night, not too close to the highway for the noise. Nobody else was there.
Report Check-InNice and quiet spot for the night. Very buggy! No one else was here when we came.
Report Check-InI stopped right before the grassy road going back to wider area with fire ring. The reason is I am pulling a 26ft TT and while it is possible back there, the spot right before the road is perfectly flat and hidden from road behind trees so not much noise. It was perfect for a night but more serious campers will probably like it better back further in.
Report Check-InClean sunny spot. Little noise from HWY . Fire pit at spot when you drive in and take the very short double track to the right.
Report Check-InPlenty of parking room. Little area tuck into off the main road. Traffic was non existent at 10 pm. Room for whatever you driving to turn around.
Report Check-InGreat spot just off TC hwy, very easy to find and nice and open. Lots of room for bigger rigs, not too much highway noise, didn’t bother us at all at night, would definitely recommend
Report Check-InI'm not spending the night, but it's a good spot just to let the dog out for a bit. Would camp here if I wasn't passing by mid-afternoon.
Report Check-InEasy access off the highway. Just keep driving into through the trees and a patch will open up. 2 bars of cell service. Just a little
noisy from the highway but it’s a nice spot
bel endroit pour y dormir. Merci à ceux venus avant nous. emplacement très propore
Report Check-InI used (49.2331897, -90.9645227) instead.
The original coordonnates seem wrong.
Best spot so far for my trip, quiet, we only hear the cars passing on the highway a little, flat sandy path no mud considering that there’s still a little snow. Recommend.
Report Check-InAs described. Easy to access and calm. Would stop here again in a heartbeat.
Report Check-InPerfect spot for a safe boondocking overnight. Fits a few cars and pretty flat. Road a bit bumpy on the way in but short length. My 40ft RV could get in. Great option!
Report Check-InVraiment bon endroit pour passer la nuit. Juste à côté de l'autoroute donc on entend les voitures passer mais on reste en plein nature et c'est très agréable. Je recommande.
Report Check-InNot too sure this is exactly the same place described, but perfect for the night. Looks like Crown owned land. Fire pit with wood set up next to it. Clean (I did pick up some trash that I stumbled upon). Ok cell signal (2 bars).
Report Check-InLe passage entre le spot et l’autoroute a été agrandi considérablement et donne accès très facilement accès à toutes les grandeurs de véhicules motorisés.
Endroit parfait!
Report Check-InAwesome spot! Bit of a narrow grass/dirt road to get in, but opens up big afterwards with plenty of flat spaces. Great views of the river in the morning.
Report Check-InNice spot to spend the night or even more. You can have a campfire even (judging from the fire pit made by someone before we arrived. There is even firewood next to it). Dirt track but no 4x4 needed.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. Small fire pit established. Perfect for our 21ft Promaster van. Dirt road on the North side of the highway to the West of the river. Large area for big rigs just off the highway, or you can follow the tracks to the right with pretty much any other vehicle to a grassy clearing on the hilltop. Looks like it's a road for access to underground cable.
Report Check-InAs stated, easy to get in with my 32 ft TT. The road is wide enough not to touch my trailer that is 8 ft wide.
Report Check-InBonne place pour passer la nuit sans être trop près de la route nous étions 3 à camper et il restait de la place
Report Check-InWecamped in the back section described with our 15' RV; arrived a bit late so had to do a quick setup, but were very happy with our flat area. Beautiful views in the morning; a few fresh looking paw prints near us, which dissuaded our walk to the river (not sure if they were from a very large dog or wolf, but from checking online, they're not from a bear. Quiet enough to get a good sleep and no one else arrived during our time there.
Report Check-InGreat and easy spot. I drove just straight past the gravel area to a big opened field.
Report Check-Inas described. once you turn from the highway, before reach the spot, you will see a road to the left, it seems there are extra space there, in case the main one is full.
Report Check-InGreat little spot right off the highway. The noise was fine and I felt safe with our dog and slept in a tent.
Report Check-InA nice grassy area just off the highway.
You have to drive in a way and then turn right at the junction and follow the grassy road down to the clearing. The original post is correct, that larger units will get a few scratches, but I wouldn’t agree that there is room for multiple units - two at the most.
We are a truck and camper pulling a 20 ft trailer and if there were other units here, it would have been difficult to turn around.
Traffic noice is quite loud but it would definitely be worse closer to the highway.
We did not hike to the river but you can sort of see it in the distance, not that far away.
Great little spot off the highway, just as described but the other posts. Very quiet, clean, small fire pit. There are some tall bushes in the trail you have to drive over, didn’t affect my minivan
Report Check-InReally close to the river, nice large open area for up to 4 vehicles comfortably and a little fire pit that someone has left some wood at. Was super easy to find and only a minute drive off the highway. Noise from the highway isn’t too bad but being this close you do hear it.
