I'm at the western location. nice Beach to walk around, decent views of the lake. I'm roaming on Roger's Network which is annoying. the flies were out this afternoon but they didn't bite so that was nice. Not too much traffic. there are mice so just be aware. I caught one under my hood of my van at 1:00 a.m. Not fun.

Probably one of the best dispersed sites we’ve stayed in! There are two lots off of the road, one with a boat launch and one that doesn’t a little further down the road, both with a handful of spots and direct beach access. It was a beautiful remote spot and we had the beach all to ourselves— great sand and waves and took a swim. No other folks overnight, only some people who showed up in the morning to use the boat launch. No signage about overnight camping/parking etc. It was beautiful and a perfect stay!!

*not remote*as it sits right on the rd.
just spend a very cozy night in the westernmost spot. (its 2 pull offs, visible from each other, 1 with boat ramp).
Pulled in at 9pm(sunday night). Only 2 cars drove by the road overnight.
**1-2 bars of Verizon, but if coming from the east, service cuts out once you hit the national forest boundary.
-bugs were not bad.
if this spot is busy or if you get asked to move, inand there are a good amount of fire service roads that you can find a spot
ENJOY!

impossible de rester, c'est infesté de moustiques! vraiment dommage , il n'y avait personne ce soir et l'endroit est beau.

Great spot. Stayed 2 nights (at spot with the boat ramp just a little east which had enough open sky for starlink) but a Sherif told us no overnight parking is allowed, however spots on the west side of the road, of which there are 4 or 5 west of the spot, overnight parking is ok

Très beau spot.
Nous sommes resté une nuit et il n'y avait personne.
La plage est magnifique

Great parking lot on the beach. No signs of any type. Stayed a few nights no issues.

loved this spot!! we parked overnight at the lot east of here and enjoyed a very quiet time. the beach is sandy and the water was clear and cold.

Report Check-In

Very quiet parking right off a beautiful beach. Didn’t see anyone till 6 am when two fishermen launched their boat. Beautiful sunset and great dark spot to see the stars on a clear night. Saw 2 eagles. Was told that this is where Big Abe started the final fight for fishing treaty rights.

good place to camp overnight. I parked in the boat parking a bit to the east. wasn't bothered all night. I did see a vehicle or two enter/exit the west lot. I also had two boaters pull in at 7:30am to get their boat in the water. so be aware of that

An even better site just East of this one that has a boat ramp, 3 long parking spots & 3 regular. No signs prohibiting anything. Beautiful beach area!

We parked here overnight and had a fantastic time escaping the crowds. We showed up at 11am, didn't leave til 8am the next day, and no one bothered us. There is a "no camping" sign (but nothing about overnight parking), so just be mindful of that. It's a beautiful spot right on Lake Superior, highly recommend it.
