I found this turnout on the side of the road. have stayed here for three nights so far and haven't been bothered once. it is next to some grazing land where there are cows and other animals. great spot for relaxing for a few days.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stayed another evening and spent the morning here as we head back up north. Great little hideaway! Love the frogs at night! Peaceful place. Just respect the place- someone littered. If I was a local, I’d be upset and put up a no staying overnight sign…. It’s a small off the beaten path place to rest.
Report Check-InGreat little place to get off the 101! It’s dark and quiet! The only thing we hear are the bull frogs! No other vehicles. Hardly any cars driving by.
Report Check-InNice spot for day and night. Hardly any traffic.
The sunset was lovely.
Lots of flies and a drafting smell of manure, but that's how it is in areas like this, so it's just something to be aware of.
Report Check-InNice quiet spot. The old travel trailer there is not abandoned and has accumulated trash around it. Beware of rotten food scraps and human waste if you have dogs that go for that stuff.
Report Check-InQuite side of the road pull off. Overlooking a pasture. Mulberry bush was full of delicious berries. Old trailer and truck still there, but didn’t see anyone. Slept one night.
Report Check-InHad a wonderfully peaceful night here with an occasional moo from the pasture and a sky filled with stars. Woke up to a blanket of fog and frost on the ground. It was sublime.
An old trailer was already there and seemed to have been there some time already. I noticed movement but never saw anyone in or out of it.
During the night another camper parked as well but didn’t stay long past morning.
Took a walk with my kids and our dog and was greeted by a resident with kindness.
Big fan of this peaceful spot.
Got in late at night. Was a quiet flat peaceful sleep with some bush area for dogs to pee. Would 10/10 recommend for a quiet sleep spot
Report Check-InNice little spot to sit next to grazing land for cattle. Not too many people come through during the day. There is an abandoned Miniature RV here. Where it’s parked is basically the only shade throughout the day. Was able to stay here straight for 7 days. Nobody seems to mind. Let’s keep it that way by keeping the turnout clean. Please pickup garbage if you see garbage the location is in a spaced out country neighborhood. Bout 33 minutes from Ukiah. Has 3-4 bars Verizon & 1-2 bars T-mobile.
Report Check-InJust a large turnout in the Cow pastures. Gonna be a spectacular sunset. One other RV here. 3 bars Verizon.
Report Check-InArrived late at night and large turnout was empty and available. Awoke to a large field of cattle and oak trees just beyond the hedge row. Quite place for the night and easy access off Hwy 101. Some trash littered roadside.
