Beautiful spot along the lake, multiple campsites. This is the entrance to the beach and from here you can access more sites. Entrance to the beach requires high clearance vehicle or 4x4. We have a 2WD Ford van.

Hermoso lugar para acampar al lado del lago, este punto es la entrada a la playa y de allí se pueden accesar más lugares. Para entrar a la playa se necesita un vehículo alto o 4x4. Nosotros entramos con un Ford van 2WD.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Space for two RVs or tent areas on lake edge. US forest service signage up describing wildlife precautions. Well designed rock fire pits in place. No labeling of the location on the entry road which is fairly rocky but possible road for an all-wheel-drive higher clearance vehicle. I am in a 3 inch lifted full-size 4x4 truck with no problems. there is a lollipop loop road through the site, and the main road is rocky but possible for most vehicles. The return part of the loop is badly rutted from rain drainage and would be a challenge for many vehicles. So it's in and out with lots of turnaround space. See photo. Mosquitoes and bugs are pretty nasty but I think that's true on this whole road.
Report Check-Ingrassy lakes road is closed! no access to these areas. It is very wet here, right now, so maybe that's why. Who knows?
Report Check-InThis is the first site in the National Forest (where camping is allowed). The road here leads through the Rockefeller Parkway, where camping is allowed in designated spots ONLY (about 20 over 10 miles). In the NF, there are no picknick tables or pit toilets, but at least we found a place to sleep (since all the previous sites were taken). Bonus: this forest is not burnt (the Parkway is partly burnt, after site #7 it's OK).
Report Check-InWhat a fantastic hiding gem in the midst of the national parks. This is my second time writing this check in as the first was lost from the buggy app. So here goes nothing once again.
There are multiple spots per road going down to the lake. If you think it’s taken, go down it anyways. 4x4 and lift recommended. Anicha
The spot is filled with mosquitoes, horse flies, and other annoying flying creatures. Bring bring bring bug spray, a healthy amount. One friend who is semi-retarded said he found bear track, was very confident about it too. My other friend disagreed. There’s also a potential of wolves.
So if it’s not the bugs or the mosquitoes, beware of people out there with guns (not to scare you). Make sure you love thy neighbor.
Report Check-InRoad was closed from the ranch. Rangers mentioned it is usually open by now but didn’t give a reason for it being closed. No possible way of getting into the national Forest this way
Report Check-InDecent spots but very limited in number for all the sites on this road. Better get there early if you're going during the on-season.
