Pull off the truck brake check. Drive up to hope slide viewpoint. Enjoy the stunning view and the pit toilets.
I’d recommend staying here if you have a big rig or a low clearance. For this spot. Follow the old highway three. It’s quiet narrow and not really high. We made it with a Land Rover defender and bag on the roof. There’s a more or less steep step just before the spot.
Once your there it’s a super nice quiet place. Firepit and Space for 5 rigs. It’s mostly level. No service.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Quiet, off road, no one else here except the odd 4-wheeler driving past
Report Check-InSuper tranquille assez loin du chemin et aucune indication de pas légal de passer la nuit. En plus recharge gratuite pour auto électrique
Report Check-InGreat place. It's the hope slide rest area and not the point marked on the map. Use the Hope rest area entrance.
Report Check-InIf you drive down the old highway theres a more private pulloff from the rest stop. Great spot with the bathrooms nearby.
Report Check-InWe stayed near the view point. No need to go further. It was very quite. The drop toilets were not to bad. The view is nice. Can definitely recommend it!
Report Check-InGreat little mountain oasis. Worked well for returning to the Kootenays from the insane LML.
Report Check-InNo cell phone coverage, you need to sneak in the old Highway, really quite spot ! Definitely recommend
Report Check-InNice quiet spot off the highway. We stayed in the large gravel parking (didn’t go down the small road). Toilets near the gravel parking. Also nice view on the mountain.
Report Check-InReally quiet location.
A lot of room, 3 RVs were there but the site could easily accommodate up to 10-12 family.
Don’t go in winter! Not accessible when there is snow on the ground. They plow past the place where you’d turn off so there’s a giant pile of snow blocking road access 🤷🏼♀️
