Description

Great spot. Level and easy access from road. Fire ring and spacious and semi private. Fantastic view of mountains and lake. Campers can fit on sites. There is a pull-through but we don’t recommend big campers.

Latest Check-Ins

Lots of options along this easily accessible dirt road. Almost all pull outs had rigs when I arrived on a Friday afternoon but this spot had multiple fire rings and felt private enough despite the burnt out trees. Level ground, good service, stunning views!

Report Check-In

Amazing spots on a mountain side, easily accessible by most rigs. Excellent service and great views.

This spot is right off of a non-busy, gravel, bumpy sedan-friendly county road. There are multiple spaces along this road. I had perfect T-Mobile service.

Report Check-In

First place that had any availability when we were here. Gets really busy during the high season, which is understandable because the view is indeed amazing. There is no cover at all though so you're very visible.

AWESOME camp spot with a great view. We were actually at the one right after this exact location. The intersection wasn’t gated off to get here. The road up was surprisingly pleasant, not washboarded at all, hardly any catastrophic potholes. We got full Verizon signal, the camp sites before here didn’t have good service.

Tried to access but gated at the intersection.

Incredible views! full bars att. Several spots with fire rings. Got a beautiful few inches of snow overnight.

Report Check-In

Great spot for camping. First spot is a little difficult to get up to but our 2WD sprinter managed.

Report Check-In

The sites along this forest road are reopened now. Use is at your own risk since burn trees still can fall.

This place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

The entrance was closed while there but we camped in a camper van in the big parking lot at the start of some trails and there are toilets there. We saw 5 mooses. The gate appeares to open on June 15.

Report Check-In

Drove up the road and took road to the right of pit toilets. Found a spot overlooking the lake and mountains. Quite a view. Beautiful flowers as forest fire had devastated this area. Woke up to 3 moose near our van!!! Excellent spot. Great Verizon service. Easy to get to with our Ford transit,

This road is closed to camping as of 8/24/2021 per the info kiosk at the NF boundary.

Scenic views in all directions and easy drive to/from RMNP. Great spot!

Report Check-In

These spots are closed at the moment because of the fire last year. If you can find one of the spots prior you’ll be good or you can stay in the big lot.
