Not allowed to stay there. Territorial patrol came to see us im the morning to let us know that this is indien reserve. He was nice and told us that if we drive 5km-ish, we could camp there without anyone bugging us. It was a nice night tho. Lot of trash from past campers, probably another reason why they don’t want us here.
Report Check-InI stayed 3 nights without any problem except cactus on my feet while I was walking. I pick up garbage every day I've been there, it was awful. I have a Yaris so no place in my car to take the garbage bag to the rest area but I really hope someone one who have place will take them.
also, really windy, all day long, even at night. but still beautiful place to stay if you respect the place and take your garbage with you.
Report Check-InGreat place, quiet and with a beautiful landscape.
A lot of wind because not much shelter, but that did not prevent us from spending the night.
We slept here the last night ! Wonderful ! The view is amazing. No bugs , quiet ! Sometimes trains but it’s really ok. We saw horses ( maybe wild ). No police. Easy access. We were 2 RV.
Report Check-InAwesome stay!! We saw horses and the view was awesome. This is on reservation land and they would like us not to stay here. Keep driving down the road past this spot over the second cattle guard. Everything past that is Crown Land and off the reservation. You can stay there and there are some awesome views!
Report Check-Insuper place. beautiful and calm. the vue is amazing. can be very windy at night.
Report Check-InI just got kicked out by a police officer telling me that this is within Indian reserve and as well grass land
So it is prohibited to be on that spot
Sad
Incroyablement beau et paisible!
J’y venais pour une nuit mais je prolongerai définitivement mon séjour.
Superbe panorama!
Magnificent spot for wild camping. Worth the climb to the top of the hill for the 360 view! (put on good shoes, it's stiff and slippery)
Report Check-InWe had a very good experience with this spot !
The closed road sign at the beginning of the dirt road was a surprise to us but we decided to go ahead anyway. The road is in good condition all the way.
There is 3 spots on the way up. We picked the second one in between two small mountains. It’s a very dry environment but that makes it special ! The ground is very levelled.
It was very calm all night. We didn’t see anybody there.
In the morning we could sometimes hear trucks pass by on the main road but it was very low noise.
The "at the end of the lake" is a bit misleading. Can't see the lake from this site. But it is a nice site with great mountain views. Windy while we were here but that kept the bugs away. Horses came for a visit but left us alone. Can't see or hear the highway and the trains are a long way off. Occasional car going past on the access road but not a problem.
Report Check-Inamazing spot with 360 view , watch for livestock (horses), we spent the night there on our way to Vancouver island, access by a dirt road but no issues with our 36ft Georgetown.
40 min from Kamloops, at the end of the lake, but worth the trip
no bugs, quiet (some cars passing by once in a while)
Best boondocking spot so far during our road trip
