Absolutely stunning location overlooking a bay and a big pebble rocks beach. Away from the road and main beach. There are a couple of sandy spots, you may want to walk and see for yourself if your rig can get here. I did use 4wd here. Telcel 3G signal.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
We camped on the north side of the point for two nights without issue, but on the third day we were told by the national park officials that camping is not allowed and were asked to leave.
Report Check-In⚠️BE CAREFUL IN THE WATER- SHARK ATTACK⚠️
We had been camped here for four days and watched tons of snorkelers get dropped off about 300 yards from the big rock pile point off of this beach. We heard there was a reef and really good snorkeling out there so we decided to check it out, and our friend was attacked by a shark!!! Big bites on her leg and turns out there’s bull sharks all throughout the waters here, so do not swim alone! We love the spot, and it was so beautiful to hang out on land, just be really aware when you’re in the water and know what to do if you encounter a shark.
Cabo pulmo is a very friendly town, and there’s ways to bring your business to them without putting yourself at risk. Highly recommend checking out the area, but venture out into the ocean here at your own risk.
This beautiful spot always seems to be full of campers! There’s so much to do and see here from the mornings of whale watching and so many hiking options. If you are here snorkeling PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. There is a shipwreck just out beyond the cliff that is a hot spot for bull sharks. We had an incredibly scary experience while paddling around 7am that resulted in a bull shark attacking my friend as she snorkeled along side our paddle boards. It could have been MUCH worse. From what we’ve seen around town there is no signage or warnings about these very aggressive sharks, but they attack in schools and are very territorial, especially during their hunting hours, dusk and dawn. The closest hospital to treat shark bites is in San Jose Del Cabo 2 hours away. Do your research and be aware of your surroundings. The town and dive shops know about the attack and they are increasing annually with more folks swimming in these waters. Don’t let it stop you from enjoying this magical place, but be smart!
Report Check-InNice and secluded feeling spot with gorgeous sunrise views. When you first enter the lot you drive past several broken down rvs and old boats where you can camp but I recommend going up further to the point. The road was a bit rocky but pretty easy to maneuver. There were several pullouts there or you can continue up the hill and around the corner where there is one more spot before it gets too sandy for 2wd. Stayed two nights and it was quiet/chill both nights.
Report Check-InAccess is really reserved for 4x4 cars but on arrival the place is incredible. Perfect for sunrise, not too much wind and alone : just perfect !
Report Check-Inamazing, secret places, 4×4, truckcampers are fine, check by foot before, cell connection and waste boxes
Report Check-InJust GORGEOUS spot! Made it to gosh coordinates now issues in our Toyota Tacoma. Arrived at night and woke up to gorgeous sunrise over the rocky cliffs/ocean! Just epic, a little windy later in the night, but otherwise no issues. A few fishermen in morning quietly fishing, otherwise just sound of the ocean. Highly recommend. Lots of spots along the ocean earlier in the road too if desires. Rocky beaches.
Report Check-InWow! What a gorgeous spot!! We are really lucky to have came down this way and chosen to camp here. The rock formations were epic and there was some flat-ish spots to park. We couldn’t get to where the pinpoint is since it’s pretty soft sand, but we parked down the road a bit where the road splits off. Wish we stayed for longer but we had to keep moving. Friendly long timer van Morning to greet you once you park. Another overlander parked here had a local park 10 feet from her and blast loud music at 2am on Sunday night. Again the Monday night more around 8pm with teenagers. So if you come, prepare for locals to party beside you, if actually a common occurring event. I still felt pretty safe here regardless and would definitely come again!!
Report Check-InGood little spot for the night! Managed fine in our 2WD transit with tires aired down - there is one sandy patch so check for yourself! Nice sunrise
Report Check-InGood place in old RV park for free! Stone beach and a lot of waves but it is possible to take a swim
Report Check-InSpots close to the road all taken by semi permanent occupants. We put our 4x4 to good use and drive past the cliff North of the waypoint and camped on the pebble beach. Quite windy, otherwise quiet.
Report Check-InVery nice and quiet rock beach. Good walking and bike trails nearby. Walking distance to restaurants, dive and snorkel tours.
Report Check-InUnable to access exact pinpoint location. Lots of beach camping here, very rocky, very windy. A few other campers here, did not stay.
Report Check-InBeautiful and quiet big open space. Saw wild horses and the kids fed the baby! Wonderful peaceful. Full telcel service. Nice flat roads for biking, the town has a lot of restaurants and snorkeling/ scuba clubs. Only thing is the view from where you can park is rocks, any see the sea really just need to walk a hundred feet, still enjoyed and stayed here about 5 days on way south
Report Check-InGreat spot at the end of the beach! There is an abandoned building for some shelter as well. ;-)
Report Check-InMuy buen lugar; tranquilo y apartado del ruido y gente pasando. No dejen sucio el lugar por favor. La entrada es por los campers y hay mucha arena suelta en el camino.
Report Check-InThis place is amazing!! Quiet, by the beach, clean and safe. You can see whales jumping from the shore. Full 3G.
