Something not right?

Description

Two spots near the entry off highway 11. First one near the highway but very quiet at night. The main sounds are from the flowing river which can be loud, but beautiful. Second spot a bit further up is at the edge of the lake and is equally beautiful.

Not recommended unless you don’t mind picking up toilet paper and human poop. There is a lot right where you camp. Likely people who stop to pee or poop off the highway. We left and went farther down the road to the next clearing to find a decaying moose carcass right near the spot (I figure about 3 weeks since). We left and went farther down the road to where there is a field on the right which could be used for several vehicles/RV however it is spooky. Looks like no one stayed in a long time, looks abandoned and there was a target in the field for target shooting. Overall, not suitable for my wife and I. We were lucky and found a campground about 5 km from here (happy to pay 40.00 after 8 hrs on the road).

Not bad for a night, but there were a LOT of mosquitoes

Still lots of snow here in April. Found a mostly cleared out spot a little way into the crown land. Made a nice little path to park in going forward and reverse . That way in the morning it will frozen and easier to drive back out. Very calm & peaceful in the woods .

Very much as described. Room for more than one rig. Suggest visitors dismounted and check out the available spots as there are differoptions to chose from. Cell coverage may be weak or not available. Cleaned up garbage from previous visitors 😞

Le site tout près de la rivière est vraiment beau. Dommage que certains visiteurs laissent la place malpropre.

Take an immediate right at the first fork and thats the spot. More room down the road but not near the water. The lake road on the other side of the highway is closed. Yep the place is trashed but its small so easy to clean up and great access to the river.

Cet endroit était magnifique. très calme. cependant, au temps de l'année où nous y sommes allez il y avait énormément de moustiques.

Several spots before the marked pipeline. Suitable for any size rig. Smaller spots are closer to the highway and a larger area further up the road. Zero cell coverage!

Whent there in april and it was pretty snowiiii but they clear the place a bit so that you have one spot beside the highway. Very quiet super cute and we can also hear the wather not that far away! would recommend 👌🏼

Very nice place. Quiet and beautiful. Bel endroit, tranquille et tres beau. Allez y lentement car le chemin est tres accidenté.

We drove down the road to the lake side site.
Access the lake from the road on the NORTH side of the highway and then follow the main road pretty much to the end. The road was decent and the lakeside site had room for 5 or 6 full size units.

When we arrived, there were two 28 or 30 ft travel trailers parked and we find room for our truck and camper pulling a 20 ft trailer. Later in the evening, a few local fishermen showed up and put their boats in the lake, so there was even room for them to park.

We kayaked the lake and spent one night but I could have easily spent a week here, it was so nice. One of the locals told me there was another spot further along the lakeshore but that is usually only accessible by Jeeps and such as the road is quite narrow.

The sites are easy to spot using Google Earth.

Very nice spot by the river! We drove along the forest road for a while looking for the lake. It seemed too far off hwy 11 so came back to the river site before actually finding it. Not much traffic on the hwy on Sunday evening.

Report Check-In

cool spot by the water (no the first, the second) with good swim and fire pit. Lots of garbage around (bottles, old diapers, cans) we cleaned the place and make it comfortable again. 0 cellular reception.
