Description

NOT overlander friendly AY ALL.
Can't even hangout during the day.
Nice security guard, but he'll nicely kick you out if you're there for too long.
Don't even support them by buying here.
Go to the one on Rimrock Ave. Much nicer/friendlier.

Latest Check-Ins

Definitely NOT overlander friendly. Wouldn't even let us hangout in the parking lot, during the day.

Report Check-In

they no longer allow overnight parking. they also have security making sure nobody stays

Report Check-In

PS There were no semi-permanent or broken down vehicles in sight. A few panhandlers working the corner, but otherwise no homelessness on display.

Report Check-In

Asked, was told to park in lot directly in front of store, but out by the road. Looks like the city allows a variance to the no overnight parking ordinance in this area only, as there aren’t signs against parking overnight in this area, however there are signs to that affect in the lot over by the wooden fence.

Report Check-In

Got here around 7PM and parked to the right side of the store, facing the fence, close to the pick up reserved parking spots. Wi-Fi reached sporadically from there.
Didn’t talk to no one. No one came to me neither… One quiet night. Store hours are 7-11 daily.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night after calling customer service to confirm that it's OK with them. The woman on the phone said yes, one night is okay, and we need to park away from the front of the store. Then at 11pm a young security guard who spent the whole day driving circles around the lot knocked on our door and said we had to move. I told him about my call and he put up a pathetic defense saying that he check with his manager and that the city has a no-overnight ordinance (i.e. Grand Junction doesn't want us here) so stay at your own risk but definitely call ahead for peace of mind.

Report Check-In

Pulled up here for a 1 night spot over and got a few groceries. About 3 other rigs- which looked like they had been here for awhile. Didn’t love the vibe here so went to the other Walmart in town to stay.

Report Check-In

Not a bad spot. Little bit noisy because of traffic and a few random people walking and hanging out on the corner, the bus stop and the parking lot. Safe enough to sleep for the night but I wouldn’t leave your vehicle unattended except to go inside Walmart to do what you need to do. Otherwise three of us in a caravan (2 vans once bus) slept here with no issues then hit planet fitness down the street to shower.

Report Check-In

Little noisy at night but not terrible. Walmart WiFi reached out pretty far for my laptop. Other campers there too.

Report Check-In

Right off the main road, it’s a busy and noisy road but managed to get some rest. The Walmart closes at 8:30 pm and reopens next day at 7:00 am. Other RVs here too but a couple of them seemed local and were broken down, some homeless by the main road, no one bothered us though.
