fantastic views of the salt lake. quiet after dark. exercisers, atvs, and more during the day. unfortunately quite a bit of trash and poo around the site. still worth it for the vistas of the salt lake! bit of a rough, windy drive close to the spot.

Report Check-In

Great spot but as others have said expect traffic or others stopping for the view. Last half mile of road is rough, narrow and drops straight off, so be ready for that.

Report Check-In

Fantastic place but be warned: on Saturday am the last screaming teenager mobile left at 02:00 and first ATV came up at 05:30. Then ATV or truck / Jeep every 5-10 minutes

Report Check-In

As others described. Was empty on Sep-23-2022 at 2:30 pm. Prius difficulty road to spot. Many ATVs passed through in the National Forest and Francis Peak 11 miles onward. 2 am Last screaming teenager mobil, 5:30 am vehicles for sunrise. Awesome spot for a night.

Great views, but that's about it. LOTS of traffic. There were kids blaring their music and speeding down the forest road at 1am and again as early as 615am.
Saturday night right before sunset, a kid and his girlfriend stopped by to their shoot gun....on the spur trail that leads to the crag right there. 🙄 And folks kept pulling up into the area, staying for 10-15 minutes, and then leaving. At all hours of the night. Not to mention the woman and her kid that did stay, in their car, and kept waking the rest of us there up everytime she started her vehicle to turn on the AC rather than just rolling down the windows.
We would not stay here again. It's just too noisy.
Stayed in our GFC Superlite RTT one night.

We arrived Friday at 3 am and no one else was there. Paved road majority of the way and maybe a quarter mile of unpaved roads. We stayed until 10 am. There’s some noise from hikers, atvs, bikers, cars but it was minimal. The noise started around 8 am but it wasn’t consistent. Great views of the city. I can imagine this place looking nice at sunset.

Gate to road is closed 5 mins from spot. Plenty of parking at lower trailhead or further down Firebreak Rd if you’re coming in late evening. Would not recommend on weekends or afternoons, can see how this would get VERY VERY VERY busy.

Great views! Easy to access for my 2wd. There was a few cars driving by but quite slow. Yes to phone reception. And awesome awesome views! You can easily do a hike from there to the mountains.

Report Check-In

Amazing views! Fairly quiet and easy to get up to. Paves most of the way and then we’ll packed gravel to the spot. Room enough for 3 cars, no more.

Report Check-In

Amazing view of the city! We're the only ones here but there's enough room for 1 or 2 more vans.

Road up here was narrow and a little steep. Would not recommend anything bigger than a van.

Several people stop to check out the sunset and then move on.

Small alcove with fire pit, can fit two vans overlooking the city of Farmington with a great view of the lagoon amusement park's ferris wheel.

Report Check-In

Absolutely beautiful view of the city. Two other campers here, not much else can fit - however if you’re passing through check it out. It’s pretty quite and secluded for just outside of the city <3

Report Check-In

Good views. Only one other camper when I got here but along the road there are other pull off spots. 1-2 bars of service on Verizon.

Report Check-In

Awesome views, and butts up to a little trail. A few groups came to walk it during the afternoon I was parked there.

It was pretty windy during the night, pair that with visuals of being on a cliff and you may be in for a slightly paranoid sleep.

Report Check-In

Drove up the mountain to see if there were any other campsites. Road is steep, narrow and rough in places. I would not take a trailer or large RV. Drove all the way up to Bountiful Campsite and it was closed. There were no other acceptable spots for my van.
