First off the lookout is rad, and the fsr roads in the black hills get you here two different ways depending on how adventurous you are. High clearance and 4x4 recommended but regular Jeep Cherokee made it up, with maybe a few bottom scrapes. Excellent views.

An excellent spot would return. Great location to access the nearby hiking trails.
Report Check-InBeautiful isolated spot. Better to get to from the SD side off Tinton rd. Otherwise you’ll drive about 11 miles on dirt road. Few puddles along road, nothing to worry about. Road very well maintained. No need for 4x4 u til you get to the end and go to the top of the hill. Was completely alone, no noise or traffic. Tucked pretty far back.
