Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
A few other campers. Kind of looking a little rough. Gun shot sounds consistently several times a minute nearby. Maybe a shooting range as the locals didn’t seem to care. This was from 7am-8:30am Saturday morning.
Loads of space. Would recommend larger vehicles checking it out walking beforehand as some steep bumps.
LOVED IT OTHERWISE. Loads of trash.
Beautiful spot. It was pretty busy. Lots of people live there year round. but there's lots of spots to stay. Going further in the road does get busy, but there were big trailers down there. We have a 22.5 f but weren't going to attempt to go down further. There's wild bulls, which is pretty cool they walk right past you and don't seem to be bothered by dogs. It's very sandy and dry dirt, so trailers get pretty messy fast, but it's worth the views!! Would definitely go back. Sadly there's stray dogs. The people living there take turns caring for them. They are the sweetest pupps ever.
Report Check-InThis is my second time staying here. First time was summer 2021.
Unfortunately on my second stay I’ve noticed people haven’t been picking up after themselves. Went down to the lower portion and checked out 2 fire rings. Both had human feces close by and toilet paper.
Come on!!
There was also some trash around and it looked like 2 spots on the lower level have long term residents.
Let’s try to keep this place clean. Safe travels everyone.
Report Check-InFirst time I stayed here I drove down the hill onto the lowest sites. I'm in a 24 foot class C and it scared the crap out of me. I kept feeling like I was tipping over. Beautiful spot, but scary going up too. This time I stayed near the top and still had a nice spot. Some ppl left a bag of garbage in their fire pit. I just don't get why they don't take it with them, does it make them feel somehow superior to leave it? Dicks.
Report Check-InGood overnight spot. People need to stop leaving their bathroom garbage in the bushes!
Report Check-InEpic views and nightskies! Heard a coyote kinda close. Noisy tractor breaking ground superclose during the day (Monday)
Report Check-InSuch a great place with a beautiful view!
Some person were camping too.
If you’re are at Osoyoos, you must camp there.
Lots of place to park, lots of people. Did not get bothered. Close to the city
Report Check-InMESSAGE TO PEOPLE WHO LEAVE THEIR GARBAGE BEHIND THEM Us full time nomads we have to live with your garbage that you left behind and pick them up put them in our homes on wheels and carry them to the city to a garage can with all the risk that's involved for us as bringing bugs and germs in our campers. Garbage dont disapeared just by hiding them behind a rock or in the bush. We have already our own garbages to manage and very small free space in our rigs. Take 5 minutes to drop them in one of the numerous parks or reast areas garbage. How would you like to live in middle of garbage strangers will put in your house or appartment!!
Report Check-InStayed here for 3 nights. Had to park near the bottom as everywhere else big enough for us was full. Not complaining though. Still spectacular views, peaceful and quiet. If you're a big rig take your opportunity to park at the entrance and go check out what's available first. Some sites are very tight if occupied and you wouldn't know until you got there. Definitely recommend!
Report Check-InBack here waiting for the warmer weather to head through the Rockies. Got a better spot this time. Roads rough here and there and turnarounds depends on how many RV’s are here.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. Just as described. Camped a couple of nights in a 36 foot motorhome. Roads in can be rough so would highly recommend walking it before driving in. There's lots of space to park on the street and the walk is as great as the parking spots
Report Check-InGreat spot. Been here for a few days. Locals hike and dirt bike, so a lot of activity during the day. It’s November now, so not as much activity during the week, mostly weekends and some (nice weather) evenings.
2-3 bars of cell consistently. A few people living in their RV’s year round, nice people. Expect cows to be roaming free. Every shower in town has closed, so that’s an issue if you don’t have one. Closest place I’ve found is in Penticton at the community centre pool. The locals I’ve met up here have been friendly but cautious. They’ve had issues with some Vanlifers in the past. So understandable that they’re leary of people using this area.
Part of this area is owned by the township, part provincially and part Crownland.
Really great free spots to stay few nights. Very busy on the weekend with a lot of boondockers but also a lot of dirt bike but very quiet during the week. Some locals seem to live there all year long, so we tried to not disturb them to much. Just one advice, if you have a big RV try to go on foot before going with your motor home as some road might be very difficult and U-turn could be impossible. Went with a 27 feet RV.
Report Check-InStayed for 5 nights, beautiful crown land with many options. Beautiful views of Osoyoos. Water and dump station a few kms away as well as groceries and propane. Ideal location.
Report Check-InQuelle place incroyable, on était seul avec cette vue incroyable sur la ville et le lac. Nous sommes restés 2 nuits. Le chemin pour se rendre est un peu chaotique mais praticable.
Un de mon meilleurs spot
Lots of land and great views of the hills and the valley. Quite a few sites close by the entrance, a bit rough but should be doable for most vehicles. If you have some decent 4wd you can get to a few deeper in spots. I liked it so much here I stayed a few days. Up on the hill gets pretty hot, direct sun almost all day. People came and went but didn't notice most staying more than one night. A few dirt bikes passing through. Fire pits throughout, although not much use right now. Quite clean, only problem was some broken glass around.
Report Check-InHuge area of crownland, plenty of space. Was smokey when we were here but I assume the views would be good. Bit of a bad road but lots of sites close to the entrance. Watch out for snakes!
Report Check-InI've overnight there. it's not easy to arrive with a low profile passanger car. lots of dust but very spacious place.
Report Check-InPourquoi payer pour visiter le désert quand on peut y dormir? Attention, il fait chaud, mais la vue de la ville en contrebas est magique. La route n'est pas si pire et il y a beaucoup de place pour différents véhicules ou tentes. KEEP IT CLEAN!! Il y a déjà des déchets, merci de ne pas en rajouter
Report Check-InAwesome spot, stunning view, lots of space for all vehicle/trailer types. So worth it! There were tents, RV and car campers as well.
Leave no trace! This place is wonderful! Enjoy!
Perfect for a much needed respite from the lower mainland. Stayed in a large class A motorhome. Not many parking spots for a large rig, but totally doable. 2 bars LTE on Bell.
The area is quite clean for crown land.
KEEP IT THAT WAY!!
beautiful place, great stars, and some light offroading trails. Got a little busier in the night so try and show up earlier
Report Check-InNice calm place. No service. Steep hill at first but flat at the top !
Report Check-InNous y avons passer 4 nuits avec notre roulotte 28 pieds.
oui la route est un peu rude, mais nous n'avons eut aucuns problèmes a nous y installer
I stayed there for 2 nights. The dirt road is a real adventure but I drove up there 2 times without any problems with my 2wd family van. There is space for more cars but broken glass is around. You just have to watch where you drive.
Awesome views from the town and the valley especially when it's dark and all the lights are on. One of my favorite places.
I level campsite off dirt road. Nice view onto osoyoos. There is a fire pit but no services
