Latest Check-Ins

Good place to stay in a very small rural town. No problem parking on the square and hardly any traffic all day long as there are few cars here. Good Claro service. Nice hike to Gocta falls. Easier from here then Cocachimba, but both nice hikes. No issues bringing dogs on this hike, could not bring them on Cocachimba trail.

Still a good place to stay. We parked next to the church. It was quiet at night. Police station is across the park. Bathrooms in tourism office are clean and open during work hours. Some little shops in town with basic food and personal higien supplies. We found a water source in a little bridge to fill our tank.
The trail to the waterfall is well mantained and entrance fee is 15 soles.

Really recommended, calm, beautiful and friendly. We spend almost a week here, became part of the town. Bathrooms available at tourist center. Lovely spot. From here you can visit easily the first fall of Gocta. 7 km approx. Many views and less people than in Cocachimba trail.

Friendly village. The bathrooms in the tourist office are clean. 10s per person to visit Gocta. No guide is necessary. The trails on maps.me are accurate. There are power outlets inside the tourist office.

Agree with other posts and is still open, lovely people. Kids from the school loved looking at our RV.
Hike is grade 3 out of 5, need to have a village guide. Horses with guides is alternative. Either way you came to Gocta you have to see them.

Great place to stay overnight, very quiet and people are super friendly. We have a european camper so to reach the village it was a bit tough but we managed it. The walk to the falls is great.

Tried to go to the San Pablo hostel, but arrived after dark and the gates were closed and no one seemed to be around. Decided to spend the night on the plaza instead. We were warmly greeted by some locals who welcomed us to their town and told us that it was quiet here and safe. We had a nice night here along with "Lost in the Americas". Free.
