Camping next to Salmon river in beautiful Idaho.

Place is fantastic, apart from the ravenous mosquitos. Cross the River on Dry Gulch Rd then go right or left. Right was toilets etc but also a ton of big rigs with OHVs, etc. We went left and parked at a very peaceful and quiet spot next to river. Mosquitos were not bad in the morning for coffee by the water.
Report Check-Injust as previously described, nice large space with clean toilet, lots of other campers but was quiet
Report Check-InGreat quiet spot by the river, there were 2 other campers when we arrived but plenty of room to park. There are also a few fire pits available.
Report Check-InAbsolutely untenable onslaught of mosquitos in summer, full clothing and headnet was not enough to suffice. Otherwise perfect oasis, but I can see why every single camper here was inside an RV. Keyword inside. I'm SUV camping and it's too hot to have the windows up, nearly unbearable to be outside. I ended up going up the dirt road that begins in the campground less than a mile and I have beautiful views and zero mosquitos. Tradeoff is zero trees, full exposure yet pretty views for a night stay. Happy I made the move.
Report Check-InOur plan was to wake up and go to Goldbug, which we did. 22min drive made this spot great. Scenery was awesome! Easy to maneuver with 5er. My only gripe is the mosquito population. And being someone from Wisconsin with miserable mosquito populations, this was definitely a runner up to home.
Report Check-Ingreat spot! by Salmon river. 4 bars of verizon. quiet at night plenty of parking lots of fire rings and pit toilets.
Report Check-InNice place. Plenty of sites along the river. Verizon full service. No TMobile service.
Report Check-InStayed here 1 night in camper van. Quiet place! Several hunters there but everyone was quiet. Vault toilets. Right off the 93 next to the Salmon River. App won't let me give it a 5 star for some reason but 5 star!
Report Check-InI was surprised at how many spots are tucked in here. Some are by the river, some are tucked in the trees. They all have nice steel fire rings. Vault toilets are available but no water or trash collection. Beautiful spot and best of all free.
