This is a dispersed camping area about 3.5 miles south of Gardnerville,NV. Roads are all dirt and can be muddy. Most 2WD should be ok. RVs are not advised to the south area but should be ok to the north.

Road is bumpy and rocky but most rigs should be able to find a spot somewhere. Only one other camper spending the night near us, so pretty quiet - and you don't hear the highway even though you can see it.
T-Mobile / Mint had decent signal. Only weird thing was there was three dead and rotten deers lying around the first spot we parked at - so we moved a little.
Report Check-InSome great spots up here. Bumpy road and not all spots are accessible without a higher clearance vehicle. Find something in the trees if you can, it gets so windy up there. Some nice hiking around there also. I only had one bar Verizon. Please pick up trash and take care of these places!
Report Check-InHad a strange experience here. I was looking for a place to park up for the night when someone mountain biking stopped short of the spot I had turned into and just stared at me…for a really long time. He definitely made it clear that he was focused on me. It was really creepy. I don’t know if he was a local and just trying to intimidate me into leaving or what. I did double check that I was on public land. I ended up leaving, rather than risk a potentially unsafe situation.
Report Check-InGreat area, lots of camp-spots, some nice views. easy to get away from the highway. Police drove around on patrol but didn't stop.
Report Check-InStunning spot down pretty bad road. Only saw two other RV campers in the area. Very windy in early October. Had cell service with T-mobile.

Nice elevated view , Verizon reception just okay. Quiet, breezy, peaceful.

Report Check-InMade it in my Toyota Prius but go slow. Very rocky. Nice flat spot up the hill. Beautiful and quiet if u go far enough. Very nice police officer showed up around 9:45 am. Said it was ok to camp there but he warned about other long term campers being unsavory characters and might not be so safe. Don’t know if that’s true but I only stayed one night with no problems.
