Officially it's now forbidden to park there overnight. They put up a sign which you can see when you enter from the paved road. We came from the other side and didn't see the sign. We parked there during the day (no problem, a lot of surfers here). At night the police came and wanted us to leave. After some arguing we were allowed to stay for one night.
There is one spot further north (close to the campground) where the police still let people park during the night. If you don't want to surf and you are just looking for a nice spot to park, I'd advise you to go north of Taghazout (we saw a lot of nice spots there).
