very quiet and safe. we parked at the first parking lot (below the other) and didnt had to pay anything. we were the only car and noone was here.
Report Check-InQuiet place for the night. You also can ask to the first store at the left, for 0,25$ they left the toilets open for the night.
All very nice people.
Everything is as described, with one note. You cannot park in this lot on Sat & Sun during the day. You must park in the lot right next door during the day, and can park here overnight, all for the same $1.
Report Check-InThis is a great overnight spot! The view is pretty great, and there's these swing-benches attached to the trees where you can chill on. We had a very quiet night. The shop with baños públicos on the parking lot is open from 7am to 8pm. Then the next day you walk up to the waterfall, take your swimsuit if you would like a dip in the natural pool (it was very refreshing), and there's several side tracks to walk on around the waterfall, a decent playground in the woods, you could spend a few hours easily. Oh and the entrance is only $0,5. For the parking we paid $1, but the lady told us we could only spend one night there. Loved it though, might be back in a few days after visiting Cotacachi!
Report Check-InWe came back again while we were touring around the area. Still one of the best safe, quiet areas around the town. next to the lake is also safe and quiet plus free. But this parking lot is closer to the town and toilets for 25cents . Visit the waterfall cost $1pp. Police Station 200m down the road you can see it from the highest parking lot.
Report Check-InVery big parking lot. $1 per day. Safe and quiet during the night. Some souvenirs Shop and small market to buy some stuff but at tourist prices. Better to buy at town
Report Check-InCampground with small lovely piramid huts where to overnight for $10. Solo or couple.
No kitchen. Take your oven or go near.
Lovely! Not true, my old man’s adage “you’ve seen one cascade, you’ve seen them all”.

Report Check-InParked in the lot for one night. No other vehicles parked but met lots of travelers who took a bus to get to the waterfall the next morning. Did pay the $1 when we left. Fine place to lay your head - safe, there’s a bar/restaurant and some handicraft shops.
Report Check-InStayed at the parking, didn't go closer to the waterfall (arrived after dark). Didn't pay and the people in the small stores were nice and welcoming. Felt safe.
Report Check-Insafe flat big rig friendly. $1 per night. have a beer in the shadow of the waterfall and listen to the locals play their music.
Report Check-InLittle hike around the park with waterfall & thermals we didn't go to the thermals. It's free to enter they just ask for a small contribution. $1 for parking
