Vista point with no prohibited signs. Water available. Pretty flat only in few spots. right on the 88 so it might be a bit noisy.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Signs posted no overnight allowed. I did the lot by Mel’s diner and got a permit from the police station with no issues.
Report Check-InI can't recommend this spot. There is a homeless encampment that makes a good bit of noise between that and the highway it's hard to sleep.
Report Check-InThere is a Vista Point on each side of the road. This pin takes you to the one with the interpretive signs and level parking for 1-2 vehicles. On the other side of the road, there are a lot of parking spots but not all level.
If you’re in the area, definitely check out the old historic towns of Amador City & Sutter Creek. So darling. :)
Report Check-InSuitable spot for an overnight. Traffic did quiet after 10ish. The morning sunrise was awesome.
Report Check-InJust as described. Good for a night. Traffic noise but it dies down considerably after 10-11.
