Description

Finally, the new CP of Ruedi, Miriam and Heidi is in operation, ok, still some final work to be done. A big courtyard with big, cool, shady trees, flat. There is space for a least 4-6 big rigs, no restricions. Tents are possible on the sandy gravel ground. With the best bathrooms in Bolivia, warm and hot water (Swiss quality). A common grill place under a roof. Secure behind the big door to the street. A welcoming family and a friendly host. Do not miss the wholemeal bread of Ruedi, it‘s not only famous in the city, it‘s the best you can get in Bolivia. The washing service of Miriam is perfect.
Unfortunately the internet connection is not yet well established in the region.
The center of the city, the sight seeing spots, the fresh markets, the local food court, restaurants and shops are within less than
1km. That said, the CP is in the city, meaning, there are some motorcycles around and the rooster of the neighbour will wake you up in the morning.

we stood here for three nights. It is a great location. After coming the dusty street from Brasil it is a highlight enjoying the shadow and the big and very clean bathroom and (hot) shower. Henry and his family who are living here too, take care of the place and keep it clean. A secure and good place to recommend. You also have the possibility to make a barbecue fire - everything is ready. Thank you Ruedi and Miriam to let us feel so good!

Report Check-In

Everything is excellent and as written by the previous travelers, only that it fits a maximum of 2 trucks.
Rudi makes every effort to help you with any problem.

This is a great place to relax for a couple of days and to enjoy the hospitality of Rudy and Miriam. All has been said in previous comments - what we liked most are the hosts. Super laid back, helpful and friendly! Everything in walking distance - Restaurants, the Mercado Campesino and of course the church.

Good to stay for one night. Friendly people. We really loved the bread (10Bol) and the big outside shower. But it was a bit expensive (80Bol) and someone was burning plastic all day next to the campground. That's why we left after one night.

Amazing place!! As mentioned by others, 80 bolivar/night here or 40 bolivar/night at the lavenderia. Both places are amazing, clean and with everything you could need but we ended up going to the campground as we did a big cleaning and loaded everything out of the car and there was more space for that at the campground. Shower with high pressure and hot water one of the best in a long time. The bread was absolutely delicious, we didn't think it was dense at all. Ruedi and Mirjiam are amazing people, extremely helpful, they will have an answer / solution for everything. Henry at the campground is also very very nice.
It was a great pleasure staying here, can't recommend it enough!!

We stayed 3 nights at the camping of Lavenderia suiza. The new campground is located 1 block away from there. Its in the garden of a local family. Henry the house owner is super friendly and we had some nice talks with him. They have a nice friendly dog called Neela. For the camping they ask 80 per night per van. Wich is fair because they have nice wifi/ electricity and big bathrooms with a hot shower. They have a bbq area as well. You can bring your laundry to the owners house and its done in about a day. 7 bob per kilo.

If you want to stay here, then you need to check in at Lavandería Suiza. Price is 80 Bs / car. Not per person. Small vehicles can still park on the patio of the lavandería for 40 Bs / car.

Unfortunately, the bread isn’t all that great. It’s pretty dense. Apparently, they used to make the bread with a yeast starter which was probably really good but the locals never took to it so they went to using just leavening (baking soda).
