Description

Lovely streamside campsite in the mountains on the oldest farm in the Cederberg region owned and run by the same family for 5 generations. They also produce some award-winning wines, particularly their Shiraz rated one of the top 12 in SA. Good ablutions with hot showers, electricity and BBQs at all sites.Apart from the mostly shaded campsites they also have various cottages and chalets for self catering rental also near the stream which has been dammed to create a small swimming pool. Hiking trails, another great natural swimming hole, climbing and mountain biking all possible. Dawie & Lizette are very nice owners. Good idea to phone them ahead for site availability during holiday periods. Tel: 027 482 2828

Wonderful Camping at a River. Camping on Green grass and most of the spots have electricity. Toilets and showers are kept clean. Free WiFi on camp sites. Very friendly staff and management A tranquil site. A 800 meter walk and you have reached “swem gat” , a natural pool. Another natural pool is within the camp site. We can only recommend! Beautiful small cottages also available.

Sites are really close to eachother so probably no privacy in the weekends. We where here during the week and we're lucky to find a shady place with mountain view. There is power and a tap at sites, there is one ablution block but there are two toilets closer to the campsite further away. Good shower.
You can do multiple short walks(or combine them) and you should definitely swim in the natural pool 500m from the campsite! Fire wood and Wifi available.
