Description
State Park at lake/river. Sites at campground are pretty close together with little to no privacy. Good clean restrooms. Good cellphone reception. $28 for a p+w site. They also have full hook-up. Discount available for veterans and seniors over 62, pd $37.57 for 2 nights. Laundry house. good cell coverage.

2nd night here. quiet. nice place to stay. close to Lake Charles n the Creole Nature Trail, 180miles (if you drive it all. I only did about 80)
Report Check-Inlooks to be recently remodeled. large flush toilet/ shower bthrms, clean, a bit heavy on the disinfectant smell. nice space between level concrete pads. Laundry house. lots of well marked trails. cabins n blaming tents also available. discounts for veterans n 62/ over. no shade at the sites so bring your own.

Report Check-Instopped in late. per prior phone call was told to park in any open spot and pay in the morning when the office was open. lots of open level spots with full hook up. pretty close together but fine for a quick overnite. honors Am. the Beautiful pass and has Sr. discount. pretty decent bath house and seperate laundry.

Other parks in area are expensive and live-in, so not very pretty and all close ones are $50. We stayed at one because we already had a long day.
