Progreso Malecon | Wild Camping

Lots of room, not busy at this end of the Malecon, big rig friendly, easy access to beach, food trucks nearby. Stayed for 2 weeks with no problem, easy 5 minute walk to downtown by pier/restaurants/ mercado. Large stretched out parking all along, just pick your choice of spot along the Malecon. Garbages all along (which can be hard to find in MX).

Quite at night. There is a toilet near the beach. Other campers where here too. Nice place.

We stay here for a couple of nights no problem at all lots of locals but quiet after midnight bathrooms open at 8am to 9pm.

We spent two night here without problems. Very safe but not super quiet at night. Perfect for kitesurfing as the beach is only 100m

Parking space alongside the Malecón. Surprisingly quit in night, no cars as the street is a dead end.
Police passed several times, therefore we felt safe.

Très belle plage, propre et sécuritaire. Possibilité de toilette et la zone touristique se fait à pied 1km. Nous n’avons pas eu de problème pour dormir mais c’est assez animé jusqu’à 11pm

excelente lugar para pasar la noche. hay regaderas a 10 pesos pero solo de 2 pm a 10 pm... los policias son muy amables y nos cuidaron. no hay internet publico pero llega muy buena señal. nosotros estuvimos dos noches.

Police was super friendly and said it was okay to stay in our car overnight. The parking lot is right in front of the beach and the big "Progreso" letters. Quiet after 11pm on Saturday night.

Super safe place! We spend two nights there with our 25ft Motorhome whiteout issues, nice security guard.
Clean beach.

The Malecon is very nice but it blocks the old car access to the beach (you would have to go out of town for that). The police is very friendly and kept an eye on our van during the day and night. Kinda windy, we broke our awning 😂 Just make sure it’s very secure if you take it out.

New 1 km malecon with sidewalk next to the beach. No trafic. Ask the Police, said that I was welcome to park overnight. Sugest to park close to police caseta so they could easily keep an eye. .
