Description

A gorgeous lakeside campsite. 2000 pesos per person. It's a very good destination if entering Argentina from Chile on a bicycle. They have a restaurant and a small store with food, alcohol, beer and wine.

Good place to stay before or after the border crossing. The price was 7000 pesos per person in March 2024. Calm and quiet. Before taking a shower check if the hot water is turned on. Toilets are clean and there are sinks for doing the dishes.

slightly odd place but I liked it. not sure exactly how much camping was as I also bought food at the same time, total bill was 10'400 pesos so camping can't have been more than 5'000. if you turn right after entering the camping, a track leads along the lakeshore to nice little spots right on the lake (beyond all the permanent campers), although these are best for tent campers. hot showers 1600-1800 for an extra 500 pesos. on-site shop reasonably good.

We didn't like the place.. I mean, the view is nice but it's very expensive for what they are offering... No electricity, no tables, showers not included, no toilet paper... There is a generator going until 2am... The girl at the reception was very nice but ... Best to give a try to wild camping .. I think ...

Very nice owners. Good small shop for everything you need. Super quiet and beautiful.

Report Check-In

No restaurant, food or hot water… and yet they charge 2500pp (took 12500 CH and refused to accept $) so pretty expensive for very little

Report Check-In

Now 2500 ARS/pp, very expensive and showers are not included in the price….. (200ARS) nice views on the lake

Report Check-In

The lake and surrounding area is beautifully and that alone is worth the camping fee, which is now 2,500pp.

But the camp itself isn’t so pretty. Lots of long term campers with permanently parked trailers and satélite dishes and solar panels. And they all take the best locations.

But it’s still a nice place with great location near the border. Family that runs this National park campsite is nice.

2000 per person in a camper van. Right in front of the first border post, located at a beautiful lake. A lot of space. Bumpy road, but easily accessible by 2WD. New toilets and hot showers under construction (check the times when the showers are supposed to be hot).

Great spot between a river and lake. Very tranquilo even on Carnaval weekend. Friendly hosts. Lots of people fishing. Simple but clean showers and toilets. Hot showers. Our daughter loved running around in the sand, volcanic ash, river and lake.

We tried this in a big rig (3.6m high) and no chance of access through the narrow and tree druped. Had a very sweaty reverse back out.

We were throughly disappointed with this camping. The location itself is nice on the lake and the shop decently stocked with not outrageous prices, but the campground itself is way overpriced and needs a lot better upkeep. there is no electricity near the sites. the showers were cold (when we asked, they said to wait because a lot of people were showering -- still cold). most of the sites' bbq are broken and unusable and none had seating, tables or picnic tables. There are also residents here (off season now) who leave their campers behind, so half the sites are semi-occupied. For those in tents, you have limited choice unless you want to be wedged between campers. trash cans don't have covers so birds came and there was trash all over the place (they cleaned it up before dark, but not for most of the afternoon/evening).

400 pp is waaaay too much to pay for cold showers and no electric outlets. Wish we'd gone further down the road.

very nice camping with views on the lake. Campsite with some longstayers on the north part, with water tap at the places. At the South part lots of places free in the high season with fire place and more wind protection. Quiet and close to the border. 400 pp. Also possible to pay in chilean pesos. 10.000 for 2 persons in a truckcamper.

A gorgeous lakeside campsite. 400 pesos per person for a tent. It's a very good destination if entering Argentina from Chile on a bicycle. They have a restaurant and a small store with food, alcohol, beer and wine. ALL CHEAPER THAN CHILE!!!
