Book it on reserve America, not on recreation.gov. Total for one night inc reservation fee and taxes is $16.88.

Real pretty area, tall whispering pines and oak trees. The reservation for camping is basically for tent campers. Bathrooms are available along with Non-potable water. There is a large field for day visits so lots of room for kids to run around and play. Very clean, well maintained and peaceful. Would also be a great place for a group get together.

My son and I stayed here while driving the Florida Adventure Trail (FAT).

The sites to reserve on the rec.gov link are tent only. site 1,4 and 5 can fit a van or small camper, 2 and 3 are big enough for a tent only. the sites are up past the equestrian trailer parking loop. very shaded - if you rely on solar no good for you. I parked on the equestrian loop one night as it was empty. Most of the photos uploaded for this spot show people parked in the equestrian loop so maybe thats why some people have been confused. NO honesty box on site anymore. Everything must be paid for online. Theres a notice and a qr code on the main trailhead board regarding this.

We had a problem finding the location for some reason our Google maps sent us on a dirt road in the park. I checked the coordinates again this morning and they appeared correct. So not sure what happened. Anyhow we got there finally a little late but before sunset. We were the only one there. Very beautiful and secluded. We enjoyed staying the night there. A few bugs in the morning so we packed up early. Highly recommend it.

A small campground with five spots, located next to a lovely equestrian area with a large glassy glade. Tons of walking/riding trails and amazing wildlife, especially birds! There are very clean bathrooms with running water and flush toilets closest to site one, but located within the equestrian area. The sites are really only viable for tents and camper vans. Reservations have to be made online.

Awesome place to spend the night. Lots of trails to hike, and we were the only ones here camping. Arrived at around 7pm. There is an honest box to leave money ($10), but no envelopes to put money in. There are picnic tables, fire rings and bathrooms. Non potable water too.
