On our way to the park, we drove off the road to join after 20 meters an abandoned path/road RP93 (open street map) on the right (coordinates of the entrance: S47.658208 - W67.817048) . We followed this path for about 1-2 km, make sure to follow the old tire tracks, and found a nice and quiet spot hardly visible from the road. Before and after are dried up river beds and in the middle a bit higher is a flat open space free from bushes, which if there is rain would not get flooded. We spend a really nice and quiet night there. At night, you'll see so many stars.
Initially, we wanted to go to one of the spot already in iOverlander. They were either closed or too close to the road. Only for 4WD.

Good place to spend one night, before or after visiting the petrified trees. 👍
Report Check-InBeautiful spot, but quiet shocking to see that other overlanders seemed to have dumped one of their old tires and old camping chairs there. The stuff was too heavy and bulky to take out with us, otherwise we would have considered cleaning it up.
Report Check-InStayed for one Night, beautiful place in the middle of nowhere but still close to the park. 4x4 definitely recommended
Report Check-InThe name of the place couldn’t be better 😂
It’s really In the middle of nowhere! We stayed here the night before visiting the National Park.
Very peaceful, starry and wind night!
No signal of cellphone, of course!
Exactly as described. We recommend also 4x4 and dry wheather conditions. Nevertheless a very beautiful and quiet place.
