Description

This is a café next to the beautiful beach of El Zonte. The owner is a Canadian chef who shares his talent in creating healthy and delicious breakfasts with us. It has been the best breakfast we have had so far in Central America. He prepares everything with a lot of love! I highly recommend this place to all people who love good food and nice places! Say hello to Oliver and give him a hug of us!

Couldn’t agree more with the last comment! This place is well worth the price. I’m betting the cost of the ingredients alone for these dishes would add up. New, creative, and delicious “sweet” and “salty” breakfast/brunch each week. You’ve got to try their horchata coffee. We heard they are changing the days from just Friday to Sunday, so maybe message ahead if you were thinking of a Thursday. Added some photos!

Read these comments, read the reviews, decided to have a Sunday splurge. 14 USD got me a 'salty' (there's a choice of one sweet and one savoury dish; menu changes weekly). That's a lot of dollars in a country where you can be well fed for 2. Worth it; fresh, creative, nutritious and delicious food, good portion sizes - see photo - honestly it wouldn't have been out of place in a top European or USian restaurant. But this was served on a roof deck complete with hammocks and beanbags to eat it on, with a sea view and a breeze. They technically close at 1; I was there till 3 and nobody came up to throw me out (it's a hostel too, maybe that's why). Open 8.30am-1pm, Thursday to Sunday. Cash or bitcoin only!

Highly recommended! Oliver offers three different variations of breakfasts. The one with avo, poached egg, cheese and toast was our favourite. The food is very fresh and healthy. Best breakfast in a very long time!
