Stayed here last night and have known about this spot before joining iOVERLANDER. Usually a Sheriff's Deputy will be shadowing you in the parking lot. The lot isn't posted so there's not much they can really do. Sometimes they shine the area with their lights, maybe to run license plates. I remember a Highway Patrolman telling me they pick up a lot of felons off the freeway so stay vigilant of who's around you.
Some 18 wheelers like to drop their trailer there for a while and pick it up in the morning. There's a red 18 wheeler that's been next to the restaurant for a long time now.
Report Check-InSpent a single night here along with another Semi. I saw no "No Parking Signs". Quiet night, not much highway noise.
Report Check-InNot abandoned anymore. They are rebuilding. We slept here for the night, but cops asked us to leave in the morning. Not a Spot anymore.
Report Check-InStayed one night. Lots of space. The highway is close so it’s noisy. An 18 wheeler was here also. A couple trailers were parked too. Ok place to stay.
Report Check-InEasy access to this huge fairly level lot. Spent the night here in our 34’ 5th wheel with 2 truckers. Plenty of room to spread out. Yes you can hear the highway (and a train), but that’s what earplugs are for! Appreciated this spot by picking up trash and taking it with us!
Report Check-InThere are tons of signs stating no overnight parking. sign on every asile.
We chose to respect their property and signage so we left to find another spot to park for the night.
Report Check-InSpent the night with a Class A and a semi across the lot. Another semi came in to pick up a parked trailer around 4am. Other than that it was quiet, and no problems at all. The gravel lot is a little torn up from people doing donuts in it, but just take it slow and you’ll be fine.
Report Check-Invery spacious lot.. we stayed 2 days, no problems.. a couple of semis here( must live in area) never saw the drivers. not to far from town of Vail.
Report Check-InYes it is a large spacious area.. stayed 2 days, no problem. 1 other semi here, another dropped his trailer and left..
Report Check-InAs previously stated. Large closed down restaurant, with huge gravel parking lot next to it.
There was one semi-truck, a van lifer, and a trailer that had let their two horses out for hours. Then me.
Desert and Mountain View’s all around.
Right off the freeway so you will here that light rumble.
Huge gravel lot with plenty of room for rigs of any size. Road noise wasn't too bad, and it's close enough to the highway to be a convenient stop over.
Report Check-InThis is a sweet little spot. Some traffic noise but other than that, perfect. Level, lots of room, nice view of the mountains!
Report Check-InJust as described. Giant open lot and can be blocked from the road by the abandoned restaurant. Some road noise but not bad. LTE on ATT. Perfect “i didn’t get as far as I meant to” spot for a night.
Report Check-InClosed down restaurant with parking in front and large gravel parking in the back. Got here last night, there were 4 semi’s also parked here for the night. Right near the hwy but couldn’t hear the cars at all. Full LTE with AT&T service.
Report Check-Instayed one night no issue. very large level gravel carpark beside old saloon, there was another RV and a semi parked here too. close enough to I-10 to hear road noise but that doesn't bother us, may bother light sleepers. heading on to Saguaro National Park East, only a 25 minute drive from here
