Description

Cute little palapas lining a sand dune overlooking the beach. We had the place to ourselves. Camping area is lined with little vacation beach homes and retirement RVs with houses built around them. Downside was the bright lights all the houses kept on at night that shone onto the van. Some loud music coming from one of the houses at night. Lots of wind up on the dunes. Nice sunrise over the water. There are showers for 20 pesos and little flush toilets. Camping is 400 pesos (2022), collected in the morning.

Not a soul around. Stayed dark to dawn and literally didn’t see another person. Lights on in residential and voices but no one out.

Report Check-In

Weird mad max vibe, empty beaches, all these shanty type ghetto houses. We left, looked like some post apocalyptic wasteland

Report Check-In

no showers, just the campground
beach is almost empty, lots of room for parking small vehicles, might be hard to park for big vehicles

Beautiful spot on a bluff above the ocean. Breathtaking views, magnificent sunrise and the best part; we had it all to ourselves! The caretaker came by at 0800 to collect the 450 pesos. Super clean restrooms, no showers, cell signal was spotty. 10/10

Stayed here 1 night. It was completely empty! Beautiful view of the ocean. Super clean and well taken care. Restrooms were clean, no showers at this time.

Report Check-In

Dry camping now 400 pesos/20 USD which is too expensive because you can get a hotel room for that price. Arrived in the evening and couldn’t find the showers or anyone to actually pay. There are holiday houses surrounding the campsite so you get no privacy and can hear parties in the houses clearly. Might be worth it if you spent the whole day here at the beach, but camping for 1 night is overpriced.

It's a weekend in Feb and there's a family at one end, maybe 6 empty palapas, then 3 people in a tent, then another 5 spots and then us in our 21 ft Bigfoot. Beautiful flat bluff looking at the sea, set of stairs to beach. Nice beach at low and high tide, not a "mud flat." lights and noise from vacay houses is there, buy feels festive and fun, no problem for us and our 2 happy dogs. Bathrm basic and clean, sani dump free. pd $20 for 1st, $15 for 2nd with some negotiation.

super campsite. We stayed here 2 nights. rustics but clean WC and "not too cold" showers. Realy nice place in front of the sea. nobody to register, but someone came at 11am and ask for fee.

feb 1st-->2-3 nights for us here. just another american RV far from us on this spot. really quiet and peacefull. 400pesos by day use.
if you didn't see nobody at the entrance feel free to park where you want for the night. a local Guy with red pick up come each morning between 9 and 11 am to collect money.

Great spot. We had the whole place to ourselves. Miguel is the caretaker and he came right up and was super helpful. Really nice guy. 400 pesos and he sold us some firewood too. Not sure what the place is like when there’s lots of campers but when you have it all to yourself, it’s great. Very quiet. Hot showers and flushing toilets. Nice stopover in San Felipe.

Quiet campground with great ocean views. Flies were annoying but they weren’t awful. Stayed two nights. Only one other group camping the first night and no one else the second night. We liked this spot because there weren’t any other dogs so we could let ours roam around with no problem. The guy who owns the spot came around to collect money and then disappeared and we didn’t see him again. Pricey at 20 USD/night. The only issue we had was that he told us he turned on the hot water but when we went to shower it was only cold. We couldn’t find him anywhere to ask and I didn’t want to mess with the knobs near the showers.

November 10th only one other camper nice quiet location campsites are on a bluff overlooking the beach beach access 400 pesos to dry camp. Flies were terrible anytime you tried to eat.

Very nice place, it's 400pesos per night for a van. You take the spot you want, we went on the one at the corner with fantastic view on the beach, you can put the vehicle just in front of it! Then the guy cames to pick the money m, he his very nice and helpful, speaks a little of English. Fantastic sunrise on the sea. Restroom ok.

Well marked, very clean, and lots of spaces both up on the bluff and down below. Yeah there are houses with lights but they’re super chill.

There's a sign when you come in $30 for hookups $20 per vehicle for camping. I looked around and left.

We stopped here on our way north wish we could have stayed a few more days. The entrance road and the parking spots on each side of the palapa are firm dirt. Nice palapas some overlooking the beach and some down on the beach. We stayed on the top row (the ones with no power) we had the place to ourselves on a Monday. As the other review says some of the hoses leave there bright lights on all night. Great beach and views, this place is offroad friendly. Didn't eat at the restaurant or use toilets and showers but looked nice.
