Description

Salt lake with dry flat lake bed suitable for camping at the SE end. The further you drive out the softer the sand. Our small Land Rover had no issues in December. Other months may vary. The further you go the more isolated it gets. Access is by little dirt roads that go between farmers' fields.

Latest Check-Ins

Nothing special about this lake at this time.of year. Quiet, though, nobody bothered us

Report Check-In

Good but very open/unprotected spot on the edge of the dry lake. Several paths lead down from the main road. Friendly shepherds offered an afternoon tea.

Report Check-In

We found an easy access to the lake coming out from the motorway here: (29.3533327, 52.8244037)

Careful going too much into the dry lake where it is muddy and the car will get stuck.

Quiet and peaceful, very convenient spot.

IranTel 4G coverage.

Report Check-In

If the dirt roads between the fields are closed by the doors you can enter the salt lake in the south at this coordinates:
29.3262335, 52.8403625 We stood at the place for seven nights. The shepard came every day, but no one else. Just at the weekend there were some local tourists from Shiraz. With MTN Irancell we had 3G. In the village Maharlo is a bakery (29.3493814, 52.8179610) and some small shops for food.

Report Check-In

Great spot and very peaceful! Actually, we enjoyed staying here more then being in Shiraz. We couldn't find the road between the fields in the dark though and stayed at the other spot closer to Shiraz for the night. The next day we discovered two roads that lead down there. If you go to the other side of the highway into the hills there are very good mountainbike (hiking) trails. Locals use it to get to their farmland.
