Description

Official campground of Soudah Mountain.
This place has been locked down and it seem like it is permeant closed. Not sure if this is because of Ramadan but it does look rundown and deserted. A new resort is getting build next to it.
Toilets available. Nice views.
We were not charged anything. The office at the entrance was closed. There were some locals picnicking during the day. The place is very big so it's easy to find a quiet spot. Very quiet night, a bit chilly.
Keep your trash and food inside, there are a lot of baboons, although we didn't see them at the campsite. They all seem to be along the main road. The nearby cable car was closed unfortunately.

If you drive to Rijal Alma Heritage Village, there is a Part of the road forbidden for trucks, as I was told by the policemen in the valley.
The gradient is so strong that you can advantageously drive with reduction gearbox in the smallest gear, 8 km/h.
In a long discussion with the police, I declared that we do not drive a "truck" but an "off-road caravan" and this road has not been a problem for us.
They let us continuing, but with a recent police protection car to the Heritage Village.
